General Studies.  Lame, I know.  I was a political science major and criminal justice minor when I started.  But when I returned to finish a while back, the 7 classes needed to finish that major was too many since I knew I could only manage 1 class per semester.  The GS degree only required 3 more classes.  
 

I attended full time for 2 years and then part time for 4 years.  Challenging to put yourself through college, though I know people do it.

 I took an internship and at the end was offered a FT job.  I was tired of struggling and being dirt poor and I’d met my future wife, so I took the job.

2.5 years ago my daughter started attending the same University and it inspired me to finish my degree.  She’s completing her bachelor’s in 3 years, graduating May ‘25, which tells you she’s way more driven than I was.  Then again, she didn’t have to pay her own way.

Congratulations.  So your senior year took 32 years.  Nice.  I wish I had extended my collegce years.  Those were good years.  Maybe I can return to school for another degree.  It would be cool being the Universities oldest freshmen in the freshmen dorms.

Yeah, I remember when I was in undergrad and there would always be that random old head in the back that didn’t talk and nobody could figure out. There is never any shame for someone trying to better their life. Looking back, they had it much harder than me as a full-time student.
