Worst fantasy football loss you’ve suffered?

I lost in my PPR league yesterday 160.58 to 160.12 on a Miami extra point late in the 4th of the afternoon games. These were the 2nd and 3rd highest scores in my league all year. Going into the 4 pm slate I was up by almost 60 with a 90%+ chance of winning.

2007 - in the championship. My opponent was finished and up by 2.2 points. I had Lavernious Coles going on Monday night and needed a catch and 13 yards. He got something like 1 catch for 11 yards.

Oh man.  That sucks balls.  I would rather get my a$$ clobbered by 150 points than lose by half a point.

Me too. Small consolation but it was a friend of mine who won and he had a rough year, so I’ll root for him in the chip.

Not me, but a guy lost the championship when A. J. Green didn’t get one point. 
 

Another guy needed about three points out of his kicker in the championship but the game was canceled because of Damar Hamlin.

My friend once picked up a Kicker on Sunday, he would have won... but the Kicker he picked up was in a Snow game and missed FG's and he got negative points.  That's what cost him the title. He would have won playing no kicker at all.

In the semi-finals of a dynasty league, I lost 147.088 to 147.087.  Yes, 3 digits.  It was a league with bonus scoring.  If you had a RB or WR with over 100 yards, instead of getting 1 point for 10 yards, you got 1.026 until they hit 125 yards, then you got 1.027.  Every 25 yards, the points went up 0.001.  With passing, it was the same concept with going over 300 yards.

The biggest point differential was losing 224 to 93.  That was back when Marshall Faulk, Jeff Garcia, and Joe Horn were good.  The guy I was playing had all 3, and each one scored over 40 points that week.

My favorite was when my opponent needed only 20 yards from Emmitt Smith on Monday Night Football to win the matchup, and Smith got hurt on the first play and was out of the game after gaining 5 yards.

Decades ago, I was up 10 with like 30 seconds to go in MNF, which was a classic Jets/Dolphins game which ended in the high 40s.  I was in Vegas, NYNY to be exact, during our annual sales kickoff meeting.  My opponent had the Dolphins TE and kicker.  The dolphins drove down 40+ yards, all in passes to the TE (no PPR), and the Dolphin kicker made a 50+ yd FG to win the game, which was worth... 6 pts.  When he lined up for the kick, I would have bet my house that he was going to make it.  

Second worse was this year which actually ended in a tie.  I was up 0.2 and had Goff with the Lions locking up the win on MNF.  Goff took two knees, each worth -0.1 rushing.

Love you guys.  Wouldn't be here for 20+ years if it weren't for FFToday.  Also, learned to hate fantasy football when Thursday night football first aired and could ruin the next 6 days of the week.  Best year was when I stopped playing fantasy.  Could watch football and not care.  Second best was when NFL called all white people racists, so I stopped watching it altogether.  Fun to see some of you are still at it and still know who's playing.

Merry Christmas!  It'd be fun to wish we could drink a beer together without it causing insulin resistance.

if you've been playing long you suffer what feels like a bad one each year and forget most of them. 

last week I lost by 2.2 as Drake London had 1 target in the 2nd half and JJ dropped a wide open, potential TD. I would have destroyed my next opponent this week.

 

--- years ago I won the title by less than 2 points because my opponent (also my brother) had his QB fumble late in the game for -2.  Want to say it was Lions Stafford.

In 2002, I rode Priest Holmes and Donovan McNabb to a 14-0 regular season. I won my playoff game, and proceeded to lose in the championship by 14 points.

All season, I had been bragging to my wife about how great my team was, and I was gonna win it all. When I told her I lost in the final, she just looked at me and said "You suck", and walked away.

Somewhat the same.  Was in a paid friend league since 1993.  Got to the point where i figured its more luck than anything and got tired of it.  Decided to hang it up.  Still join one of those free yahoo leagues just for the heck of it, but have no real care whether i win or lose.   FF ran its course for me.  And yeah, found this low maintenance bored cause of FF too.  Thats obviously one of the downsides
