The pilot responsible for crashing a Delta plane upside down at the Toronto Pearson International Airport on February 17, 2025, has been identified as 26-year-old First Officer Kendal Swanson. 

A beauty pageant winner from Minnesota, Swanson had only completed her training in April and had logged fewer than 1,500 flight hours at the time of the incident.

The more experienced captain, James Henneman, was managing communications during the crash while Swanson piloted.

They are not incompotent because they are women.  But DEI allows for incompetence.   The fact they were all women is an indication that DEI practices were in place.

1500 hours is not much to be in control of a landing in bad weather.  Figure around 1200 or more of those hours are on auto pilot at cruising altitude. 

Sadly her pilot days are over for a major airline.

To my undestanding the cause of the crash has not yet been officially determined and is still under investigation.

Too early to say that it was due to pilot error.

From what I understand, these planes are flying themselves and the pilots pretty much just sit there and look pretty.

 

You will find out the plane was on auto pilot from start to finish.  

 

Next time you get on a plane, check out the pilots!  If they are black or female you might want to get on another flight! 

Do you really want to risk your life for equality of outcomes?

If everything goes according to plan can an all female crew take off and land a plane? Sure. The problems arise when things don’t go according to plan and they have to think of solutions quick on their feet. Do I trust an all female crew when seconds matter between life and death? Absolutely not.

This is exactly why only 1% of Jet Fighter Pilots are black.  For some reason they struggle with split second aerodynamics.  Same with the wominnz!  

When your plane loses an engine or needs to land in an ice storm with zero visability, you want a White Male Pilot that got his job on his merit and not some AA or DEI

It's not IQ, it's mental acuity, or speed in making decisions.  This is what tests like the Wonderlic are designed to measure.

I'm calling BS on the 1500 hours for the first officer.  To get an ATP license requires 1500 hours.  Going to need a little more confirmation beyond an X post before I believe that one.

They don't need to know how to fly a plane.  They only need to know how to program a plane to fly itself.
