So Long Stephen Colbert

Recommended Posts

About 10 years too late, but glad to see him go. Hopefully Kimmel isn’t too far behind. Late night talk shows are dead.

"The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" will broadcast its final show next May, CBS said.

The network, which has aired "The Late Show" with Colbert as its host since 2015, said the decision to end the franchise is "purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late night."

We call this #winning.

Hopefully Kimmel does go next.   He's even unfunnier than Colbert.  and a puzzy.

Gotta love Elizabeth Warren.  I'm sure the folks at CBS who were airing Stephen Colbert to begin with are hardline MAGA righties and they terminated him for political reasons.

Wait...you didn't know that the MSM and Hollywood were all arch-conservatives?

It's been like that for 60 years now.  Where have you been?

What's interesting to me is that I actually liked him when he had a show on comedy Central after The daily show.

Those guys in the MSM were hot on the trail of discovering Joe Biden had failing mental acuity.  If only there was some way to have known before that debate!  They'd have really shilled for Trump had they known that.

Yeah, right.  He singlehandedly lost the company at least 200 million dollars over the last 5 years.  The send off should be him apologizing and leaving early.  THAT would be the greatest sendoff.  but Celebrating a failure is typical liberal cope.

I don’t think I’d want to hang out with anyone that uses the term “master class”.

Colbert jumped the shark ages ago. Late Night with Seth Meyer’s is still good.

I remember when Seth Myers cried on TV because Hillary lost. His mommy really wanted her to win. Lol.

 The View

Gutfeld and Waters are destroying them in ratings and how much money they are making because of them.

Kimmel.  He was suspended a few years ago when the heat got too much from his black face videos.  Unless he resurrects Bikini Girls on Trampolines and bends the knee, he won’t survive the Colbert Farewell Tour.  Right now he is looked at by ABC like a less funny and low IQ version of Ted Koppel.  He’s not worth his $15 million/year to the company.

Operating at a 40 mill per year loss for years. I wonder why that was allowed to continue? Nah, there’s no massive left wing bias in corporate media.

I'm sure that had nothing to do with it. It was political and there is no other reason because there could possibly be no other reason.

I mean, lots of companies lose $40 million a year and call that profitable.  Right?

Good bye Hack and you never been funny in your whole life! Seth Myers is another!  I watch Colbert the first three days he aired and not even thinking what political party he was from. I'm like this dude hasn't said anything funny in all three shows and I'm done with him and how did he get this job ?

Colbert thought he was "above" it all and got his comeuppance.

Colbert trashed his employer on the show that pays him, the employer who pays the shows employees, the employer that provides the platform for him to do his so called "entertainment" show and is it let go?  That is not a surprise at all. It would have been more of a surprise if they kept him.

What Colbert and Kimmel will start to realize is that starting off an entertainment show that is losing $$$$ night after night with anger and hate filled rhetoric is not good for business. Make one joke or comment and move on..but they can`t.

I did it years ago, but with his contract ending this year, Howard Stern should be gone.

Stern hasn't been entertaining or funny for the last 20 years.

Stern is 72 years old and made his name on HS type of humor and nonsense, at his age he just is not funny or as entertaining anymore.
