I was just trying to figure out where folks like @Baker Boy and @EternalShinyAndChrome stood.  They both brought up whataboutisms, so in order to be consistent they would need to either think both this and the whataboutisms they brought up were racist, or neither were racist.  @RLLD (who thought they were both racist) and @WhiteWonder (who thought they were both not racist) did similarly, but at least they provided actual opinions.

I said, multiple times, that I suspect a majority if not all of the people in the community you started this topic about are likely racist. What I SAID was that the general concept of creating a community based on similarity, shared traits, beliefs etc is not inherently racist.

Relax, I was complimenting you. And yes I was only referring to your opinion about the “concept of creating a community,” in addition to your other examples of the clubs or your time spent in the Brazilian area.  I’m okay saying yours weren’t really whataboutisms since you at least provided an opinion, in contrast to @Baker Boy and @EternalShinyAndChrome who just dropped a few troll comments then ran away.

I didn’t even specify “mob,” you added that qualifier.   My point is that fights that don’t end with deaths don’t usually make national news, regardless of the races involved.  This one has probably gotten more press than any in recent memory.  If anything blacks being the aggressors in fights typically get more views on social media these days, especially with the growing number of racists on x, as there are multiple x accounts pretty much dedicated to videos of black people fighting, I’m sure @Cdub100 follows them all (often using using years old videos or videos from other countries)

to me...and I think most people, a whataboutism is a deflection. you don't have any argument, or you've run out of arguments so you say "oh yeah!? well what about _____ (what about Trump? )"

I also used examples like my family when they came over from Italy, all black neighborhoods in my area and how I am looked at when I go there, etc. 

The overall point is that community is nothing new. There are many types of communities, like clubs which you seem to want to dismiss, and there is nothing inherently racist about choosing to be with your own people that you identify with, regardless of the reason (similar hobbies, religion, etc)....  and I believe the guy who was interviewed by TMZ very smartly answered the question about segregation.

It did make the NY Post, so maybe you’ll say “see! It made national news!” But interestingly doing a quick search I don’t see it in any other national news sites, just local ones.   This is also the first I’ve heard about it, and you know I follow some liberal news sources.  The Cincinnati one is being talked about far more.

The bar claimed he refused to pay his tab, but to use your words, “that doesn’t justify a mob beating,” and also a witness claims the victim was a regular that always paid his tab.

Horseman has many childish behaviors as well. but the @ function is there to get peoples attention. we use it to let someone know they are on the clock or if they are really needed in a thread. you seem to be doing it specifically to posters you want to get a reaction from. it's more like they havn't played your game with you yet so you're trying to push them into doing so. @ them once? I might not question it... but the amount of times you have used the function for specific people in this thread alone seems extremely childish.
