A source at the Jimmy Kimmel Live! countered to THR that Kimmel's planned on-air address was not "making it worse," but that he simply "wasn't kowtowing" to the outrage.

Kimmel was "defending what he said (as) being grossly mischaracterized by a certain group of people," the show source said.

THR reported on Wednesday that Kimmel did not plan to apologize for his comments, but did plan to address the situation on-air.

If this was someone less terrible than Kimmel, this could've been a moment of unification.

It's tough to rally around a guy who was racist and sexist for years and then decides to be woke when it's convenient (aka pulling a gutter) as having any moral high ground.  I don't know what those guys always end up being the loudest mofos out there...  Well I do.

Also notice how there isn't a lot of opinions from the black community on the subject (outside of folks paid to give opinions).  They know who he is.

That's why *I* post links - so people can read the data that I am basing my opinion on for themselves.  Since you still think this kid was a card carrying MAGA and not the liberal his parents say he was, I understand why you and I would reach different conclusions from that article.  But that's what I always say - We can discuss and/or disagree about an issue but not the facts.  So you and I disagree on what this article suggests.  Totally fine.  When we have issues is when your sources, which you don't name until called out, are little Billy in the gaming chat room and Billy is wrong.  That just wastes my time.  I will only note that The Hollywood Reporter is an extreme left wing rag so any reporting from them will be in the most favorable light for someone like Kimmel.
