Kimmel was perfect last night.  He showed empathy towards Kirk, even cried, apologized for his behavior, showed humility saying it's not about him, and then stated the obvious that the government can't silence comics they don't like.

Chefs kiss.

Cry harder maga.

Chefs kiss? What a wuss. ⬆️ effeminate cuck.

Don’t think I have ever watched an entire Kimmel monologue. Seen way more of him hosting the Oscars than on his show (which he is good at).

Watched the opening on Twitter, think it was blocked in Seattle by some Trump asskissing company, That was pretty good. Well done,

Grown men think watching another grown man cry on tv is good. Oh well, that’s where we are at this point.

Sounds like someone watched.

You worship a guy who cries on an online dairy on the daily and got mad yesterday that he had to walk up an escalator. Probably sweat off his freshly applied makeup 😂

What a chumpinski.

It’s over. You lost. Trump lost and is whining about it (not unusual.) The public is solidly behind Kimmel.

To be clear, I'm not behind Kimmel.  Kimmel can go F himself.  I'm behind free speech.

They didn’t censor speech about COVID due to political pressure, they censured it due public health pressure. As they should have. The Biden Administration acted correctly. Not out of political pressure or spite but to save lives. It’s OK to censure speech when lives are at stake. The Kimmel situation was totally different and completely unjustified. And it failed. You lost.

Nope.  Political pressure.  Your side is as bad as Trump.

Asking private companies to stop spreading lies for the benefit of public health is just as bad as the FCC taking away the license of a broadcaster because a comic said something that hurt the presidents feelings?

I'll assume the things that are inaccurate in this post are you firing for effect as.i trust that you know they did more than censor what you call lies, and say yes.

By the way, I don't know if you guys don't see it, or just don't won't to admit it, but the politicians you support are all dishonest, power hungry, greedy, egomaniac sociopaths just like Trump.  What Trump adds to the equation is the inability to hide it behind a filter.  They're all the same.  You probably need to have those traits to win elections and stay in office.

Reaching across the aisle to communicate with you and using the same techniques you use on others.  Let's see if it works.

I don't support any politicians and generally dislike them all.  For years they were all pretty much the same sh1tbags, but Trump presents a unique challenge in that he is a malignant narcissist who has no morality nor does he pretend.

Attempting to block opinion, deciding what is fact, etc is problematic.

Why Trump wants Kimmel booted boils down to that’s he’s mean to him. It’s some of the most bizarre, betch ass behavior all things considered that I can think of.

The only difference is the pretending part.  That doesn't make him worse.

Troll, more accurately.  Everyone knows Kimmel was lying.  He only said that because he lied initially, on purpose, on air, and broke the law.  He had to make the fake apology because he done focked up.  Gutterboy is just trolling because even he knows Kimmel didn't actually mean anything he said.

How funny is that?   Ron would be 100% fine with Trump if he just PRETENDED like the previous politicans.  HA HA HA.

Head in the sand man, the best way for these guys to live.   🙈🙉🙊

Agreed.  I've never wavered on censorship whether it's your team doing it or trump, and I was one of the first to say this Kimmel thing was over the line in this thread.  The problem is all you hypocrites that were cool with the Dems censorship are coming in and giving the MAGAs something to cling to.  As usual you guys keep having opinions when you guys need to sit down and stfu.

Discussing if Covid came from the Wuhan Covid lab was a detriment to public health?

Are talking about attempts to censor content on the shithole that is social media during a pandemic versus Trump butthurt that comedians tell jokes about him?

People got suspended, banned, de-platformed for that stance.   No discussion.

So yeah, this left narrative about doing it for health reasons is 100% bullsheet

After actually looking into it, Trump (even though he didn't actually do anything... it was the FCC), didn't do anything wrong.  Kimmel broke the law.  The FCC told Sinclair/ABC/Disney, and the companies suspended him.  That's not censorship.

During his monologue, he said that "...the shooter was a pro-Trump Republican".  It was already reported earlier that this was not the case.  According to FCC guidelines, that's a big no-no.

From that pdf:
"The FCC prohibits broadcasting false information about a crime or a catastrophe if the broadcaster knows the information is false and will cause substantial “public harm” if aired."

Meaning, he lied on air, about a news topic.  He did it on purpose.  It was intentional.

Also in link:
"Broadcasting false content during news programming The FCC is prohibited by law from engaging in censorship or infringing on First Amendment rights of the press. It is, however, illegal for broadcasters to intentionally distort the news, and the FCC may act on complaints if there is documented evidence of such behavior from persons with direct personal knowledge."

The FCC only brought this to the attention of Sinclair/ABC/Disney... they're the ones who took action, not the FCC.
