thegeneral 3,699 Posted November 3 Private insurance companies certainly aren’t going to be left holding the bag. They have board members to pay tens of millions, stadiums to buy the naming rights of, and multi million dollar a month ad campaigns to cover!
Twinsdad 66 Posted November 3 Ours enrollment starts Wed....no changes to the costs for the HSA plan, deductible hasn't changes for ~5 years. I heard the PPO plan has increased the deductible and per-paycheck costs, but not sure how much YoY.

Too bad he didn't address costs as he should have in his "AFFORDABLE CARE ACT." If he had we would be much better off now. 1

The ACA was sold as addressing costs, which everyone with a brain knew was crap at the time since he allowed the very people it was supposed to reign in to write the bill, and years later he admitted the purpose of the bill was to address ACCESS, not cost. So yeah, you don't get to complain about the cost when the guy you supported not only didn't address it when he could but made it worse.

But Obama is the one who was supposed to address the issue, and he didn't. He jacked up the prices and destroyed the individual health care market. I would certainly welcome someone doing something about it, but they'd just be cleaning up Obummer's mess. Blaming them for the mess itself is dumb.

easilyscan 1,063 Posted November 3 I doubt this played any role in premiums going up............... In 2025, approximately 70% of American adults were classified as either overweight or obese. Or this............... As of 2025, the obesity rate for American children is around 19.3% to 20%, affecting about 1 in 5 children and adolescents. This figure represents a significant increase over the past few decades and highlights a major public health challenge. The 70% quoted for adults seems too high. If I had to guess, I'd say 35-40% The 20% quote for children sounds about right. If Harris had won, the liberals posting on this thread would have posted something similar to this. That's politics for ya.
