jerryskids 5,205 Posted May 20, 2016 I mentioned earlier that my daughter is friends with a girl who associates as a guy (Neil). Ends up Neil was valedictorian at my daughter's graduation yesterday. So she had a speech in front of 600 grads and thousands in the stands. Did I mention that her parents don't know? And that I know the parents? They are acquaintances vs. Friends, but it is weird knowing something like that about another kid. Anyway, she started her speech and it was about conflict and how all good stories have conflict. I gotta admit, I was kinda rooting for her to come out. But she didnt, it was just a boring speech.
RaiderHaters Revenge 3,584 Posted May 20, 2016 Pedophiles, sociopaths, and rapists harm others. I'd ask you what harm trannies do but you think Caitlyn Jenner is the worst thing since 9/11. Quite honestly that's one of the stupidest things ever said on this here bored. like I said, I know this was extreme, it was just making a point. And no its obviously not the worst thing, but its the worst thing that has happened in entertainment, the entire Kardashian crap can just be clumped together. We as a nation are worse morally and otherwise and seems to all stem from this family and the stupid obsession of it. Now the Tranny agenda is just thrown on top. The sad thing is that Bruce was villified for being a Ted Cruz supporter, because he was just being a priveledged white male, while every left wants Kate to be her own person, as long as it fits the left agenda

A resident in one of our training programs came out during their graduation banquet. While everyone whispered that (s)he was probably gay, it was pretty ballsy to show up in a gown to set the record straight (puns intended). Although I don't know him very well, he is the first high functioning transgender I have met that didn't seem to have a bunch of psych issues.
RaiderHaters Revenge 3,584 Posted May 22, 2016 So, your slippery slope goes from something that is not against the law (being transgendered) to criminal behavior? Most people aren't going to sympathize with pedos. Just a fact. And they probably are born that way in some respect. And in some respect, it is laudable that they recognize the error in their nature and don't act on those impulses. But we don't high five people who think of murdering others but don't. We don't pat someone on the back for suicidal ideation. Thought processes that promote harm to oneself or others ought to be discouraged.

Hardcore troubadour 12,644 Posted May 24, 2016 Yeah kinda like how we shouldn't celebrate MLK today because, you know, we've moved past that. Well you think the biggest thing history should remember about him is that he was the first black president. MLK was a civil rights leader for black people. Obama was the President, of all of us. Him being the first AA doesn't do much for all of us that aren't. And some of us DGAF and just want what's best for the whole country.
listen2me 23 1,542 Posted May 24, 2016 Not a goofy republican but I vote this is a stupid issue. Should be illegal to be transgender. Go to the bathroom like a normal person and shut up.

Hardcore troubadour 12,644 Posted May 24, 2016 So amongst other's, we have the Sandy Hook massacre and the President pretty much gets nothing done on that front. Some speeches and no action. But the bathroom issue? Well, he certainly has done everything within his powers to get action on that. And his supporters think this issue won't be used to define him in the future? What else are you going to say about his second term? Not much. Some executive orders that can be wiped away the minute he is relieved of command? A trade deal that the democrats are now running away from? But his golf game is probably better. Hate to go there, but man, is he ever not on the course?

KSB2424 3,083 Posted May 25, 2016 This "issue" has turned less into who goes to what shower or bathroom as it does the Federal Gov't telling private business how to have their own shower and restroom policies, as well as schools with minors. And the Administration liberally evoking the constitution to fit whatever way they see fit. Federal over-reach from the Justice Department trying to bully and threaten states. May 25 (Reuters) - Eleven U.S. states sued the Obama administration on Wednesday, seeking to overturn a directive from the federal government this month that public schools should allow transgender students to use the bathroom matching their gender identity. Ramping up the culture wars in America, the states, led by Texas, accused the federal government of rewriting laws by "administrative fiat." Defendants have conspired to turn workplace and educational settings across the country into laboratories for a massive social experiment, flouting the democratic process, and running roughshod over commonsense policies protecting children and basic privacy rights," the lawsuit stated. The state of Texas is the lead plaintiff and was joined by Alabama, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Utah and Georgia, plus the Arizona Department of Education and the governor of Maine. Schools districts from Texas and Arizona also joined the suit, which names the U.S. government and a host of federal agencies and officials as defendants. KSB2424 3,083 Posted May 25, 2016 Also, in the HB2 Hypocrite news of the day: Maroon 5 just canceled their events in Raleigh and Charlotte citing the HB2 law. Meanwhile they still plan to play in Russia and Turkey this summer. Public opinion in Turkey on homosexuality has generally been conservative and LGBT people have been widely reported to experience discrimination, harassment and even violence in recent years. No laws exist yet in Turkey that protect LGBT people from discrimination in employment, education, housing, health care, public accommodations or credit. So Turkey has NO protection for LGBT's. North Carolina does, but simply has a bathroom rule (for gov't buidlings only I might add). Yet they boycott NC and will visit Turkey? Now on to Russia: Same-sex couples and households headed by same-sex couples are ineligible for the legal protections available to opposite-sex couples and there are currently no laws prohibiting discrimination regarding sexual orientation. Transgender people are allowed to change their legal gender following sex reassignment surgery, however, there are currently no laws prohibiting discrimination regarding gender identity or expression and recent laws could discriminate against transgender residents Recent polls indicating that a majority of Russians are against the acceptance of homosexuality and have shown support for laws discriminating against homosexuals. But in NC we have lots of protections for LGBT's. Just that boys go to the boys room and girls to the girls so Maroon 5 cancels yet goes to a Country that allows full blown discrimination. You can't make this stuff up.

parrot 789 Posted May 25, 2016 Don't get to dizzy. Oh am I spinning? Just like every time someone disagrees with your take on any of this, they are spinning? You're the one spinning this silly hypocrisy meme. Thinking people understand that different problems have different solutions. Not every problem is a nail. It has nothing to do with them wanting publicity because this is currently a "hot news item", nope, can't be. Or maybe they believe in this issue and understand that their action will generate publicity that might help bring about change in a place like North Carolina, but would be a fart in the wind in a place like Russia where there are much bigger fish to fry. Nope, can't be. BTW, it's only a "hot news item" because of all the Chicken Littles like yourself. The sky's not falling. It's going to be okay I promise.
