It'll be something widespread across several cities at once. The left is getting itself so wound up with hate that it will lash out eventually.

 

We saw it play out in Ukriane in 2014. For years heading into the 2014 election, the left had accused the right of colluding with Russia to interfere in elections. When the right-wing guy won in 2014, THAT finally tipped it over into revolt. But it was the LEFT in Ukraine that started marching and protesting against the election results. The media kept ginning up hatred with designs of undoing the election. Unfortunately it spun out of control and people on the left started openly attacking right wing people openly in the streets or where they worked. At that point, now finally under physical attack, the right quickly organized a counterattack and civil unrest broke out across Ukraine. Putin immediately declared he sided with the right and rolled his tanks into Crimea and the left LOST.

 

The 2014 Ukrainian revolt is playing out again, this time in the United States. All the pieces are basically the same. We're just in a holding pattern waiting for the event that pushes the left into physically assaulting the right.

 

Currently Putin is building a MASSIVE arctic base and trying to stack as many warplanes and warships in there as he can, which probably will be used to hit the US west coast once civil unrest begins. It would be convenient if a major hotspot was on the west coast, so I imagine he would land in Portland Oregon and then move south quickly to San Francisco and Los Angeles. Altho looking at the placement of several bases they could springboard across the arctic and hit New York just as well. Severomorsk base is the HQ of the north fleet and Rogachevo air base is getting massive upgrades and both are positioned to hit New York City.
