seafoam1 1,879 Posted September 17, 2018 Responding to a tweet saying Ben Roethlisberger is the reason he puts up numbers, Antonio Brown wrote, "Trade me lets find out." "The tweet came from someone who previously handled public relations for the Steelers, so Brown is not responding to anyone with any power. Still, his emphatic response is at least notable after he was seen bickering with the coaching staff multiple times during the Week 2 loss to the Chiefs. Pittsburgh is certainly not going to trade Brown, but it seems like the receiver is unhappy with how things are going early in the season." Sep 17 - 11:48 AM I think he's becoming jealous of Juju. Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted September 17, 2018 I agree. He got 14 effing targets. What else does he want? He didn't notice Ben almost got picked forcing it to him? There are very few players who really care about winning a superbowl, especially the better paid players

There are very few players who really care about winning a superbowl, especially the better paid players agreed....its not like the offense was the problem either....and he always gets a ton of targets...and ben usually does force throws to him alot.... ive thought for awhile that this guy seems more concerned about getting into the hall than he does winning a SB...i just get that vibe from him....the same way i get this vibe about aaron rodgers...i think if you told rodgers hed be guaranteed to win the SB throwing the ball 24 times or give him a 50/50 shot getting to throw it 40x hes going to take the 50/50 shot
Drizzay 646 Posted September 17, 2018 Ok. So that makes the situation even worse based upon Brown's response. Why would he bother responding? Maybe he thought the guy still worked for the Steelers? I'd b pissed if someone within my company was saying somthing about me in public.
tanatastic 2,061 Posted September 17, 2018 Non story, he’s saying even if you traded me I’d be a baller. He’s perfectly happy with the Steelers.
seafoam1 1,879 Posted September 18, 2018 I think Pitt is a mess. Too much drama. One of the best receivers in football sending out tweets to the world like this? He is too sensitive. Juju is better. Ben was sensitive about them drafting a QB, that's just bad. Best RB in football holding out. Good luck winning the superbowl.
brotherbock 349 Posted September 18, 2018 The former employee is probably some dude that AB didn't like when they worked together. Or more likely the guy didn't like AB. So now the dude's shooting his mouth off online. "Best WR in the league isn't so good cuz his team lost the game!" lol If they have a history, it's not a surprise AB replied. Still...best to leave it alone when you're the guy in the spotlight. Everyone will remember your response, not the original tweet from Nameless PR Rep. Gratefulegg1973 253 Posted September 18, 2018 Tomlin is a waste. Remove him and this mess goes away. How've ya been Murf? Yes, Tomlin is THE biggest problem. Why the Rooney's don't see this is beyond me
Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted September 18, 2018 Non story, hes saying even if you traded me Id be a baller. Hes perfectly happy with the Steelers. It's not a non story. He was hitching at the coaches in between offensive series. It's true though. He needs a good qb to make him good. He was horrible with bad qb play. Something many receivers deal with their entire career
Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted September 18, 2018 Tomlin is a waste. Remove him and this mess goes away. Steelers fans don't want this. They would prob end up with some Mico managing who wanted everything to be his way, which would prob be wrong. The chances of landing a good coach is like 5/

Bitching on the sideline is just game day stuff, tensions run high when you arent winning. The trade comment is being taken out of context. Its not a typical trade request. DaBeerz 88 Posted September 18, 2018 Brown has always been an annoying diva, let's be honest. He's had multiple boneheaded questionable off-and-on field issues that have slipped by without any consequences because he is a great player.

TheUsualSuspect 207 Posted September 18, 2018 JuJu is the new AB. I got 2:1 that he would *out perform AB in 2018, at one of my drafts in August. I realize this statement is convenient, but Ill stand by it ROS.

seafoam1 1,879 Posted September 18, 2018 Well with the craptastic backups Pit has had over the years, I could see why. Half the QBs in the league are "craptastic". You are making the point that the QB makes the WR, not the other way around. And somehow I don't think that is what you are intending to do.
jgcrawfish 232 Posted September 18, 2018 He was apparently pouting on the sideline after Ben ran for a TD. I'm so sick of this current edition of the Steelers, and I honestly pin it all on Tomlin. He's a players coach, so he lets these guys have too much leeway in what they say and do. It's a very undisciplined team. The team scores points in bunches, yet Tomlin fired Todd Haley despite the fact the defense has given up 36, 45, 21 (to Cleveland) and 42 points in their last 4 games, after investing HEAVILY in defensive talent the last 2 drafts. Tomlin and Keith Butler need to go.

Tomlin and Keith Butler need to go. I think ownership like Tomlin. Ben likes Tomlin. As you said he lets them get away with a lot and doesn't run a tight ship like Belichick. Do you think he would put up with Brown's nonsense and me-first attitude? I think this is why some teams are perennial playoff contenders but don't win a lot of championships. Tomlin doesn't have that edge or team discipline in place to push his team over the top. But if you look at the talent on his roster, they should do far better. RoadLizard 73 Posted September 18, 2018 How've ya been Murf? Yes, Tomlin is THE biggest problem. Why the Rooney's don't see this is beyond me Maybe.... yeah, I guess so. The Steelers just arent the "Steelers" these days. Ben is very close to being past his sell-by date if hes not there already. The defense is a hunk of swiss cheese and is usually a strength of the team. The skill positions are mostly headcases and malcontents. Just not a top tier team anymore. The blame has to fall on the coach at some level.
weepaws 2,460 Posted September 18, 2018 I agree with Murf, I’ve been saying the same thing for many moons now. I think this team will go down as a underachieving team. They should been involved in more Super Bowls and even won I think a couple more of them. Coaching is to blame. They have the most over ranked coaching unit in the nfl. It does speak to his character a bit, he has Pitt over a barrel and he knows it. What's got him so pissed off?
tanatastic 2,061 Posted September 18, 2018 Again, there’s no story here. He did not ask for a trade, that comment was taken out of context. They lost, tempers flare when you lose, hence the sideline antics. He didn’t show up for a personal reason, he’s not disgruntled. He will be back to work soon and probably have his best game of the season on Monday.
