AJ Green Reinjures Toe at Practice. Carted off

Recommended Posts

Anybody have updates on Marvin Jones' ankle? Last I'd heard was a setback a week ago scratching him from week 5.

Whhhhyyyyyy?!?!?

Whhhhhyyyyy?!?!?

Obviously sucks for this week, but it seemed he had put this behind him the last few weeks. Probably gonna be a reoccurring issue. :wall:

Green you keep.

Gordon is a luxury. Over a month away from sniffing the field on Sunday.

Hmm. Well i offered up sanu in a few trades for players that are disappointing pretty badly and was basically told he has no value. Wonder if this changes that.

I just got a deal done to get this guy 4 hours ago. It was Ryan and Cooks for Brees and Green. Wow.

Serves you right for drugging and raping that owner. :nono:

Nice, now If you werent busy holding 3 qbs on your roster mabe you would have some depth.

I traded AJ Green at 12:46 CDT. News hit the wire at 1:29 CDT. Called the other owner and offered to undo the trade and he declined.

That blows. It means I have to play Larry Fitzgerald, LaFell, or Steve Johnson instead. Hoping Moreno is back, that will help...

I just picked up Austin Davis for this week. I only had two going into today. It's Brees bye week afterall. Forgive me if I don't like Cousins on the road vs Arizona.

I just proposed the trade. I was ecstatic when it was accepted. Lucky that didn't last long.

A couple weeks ago, i traded Brady for Dalton among other players. I was fed up with Brady. I now see Dalton with a low ceiling without Green. The Brady owner is now in need of wr help and is offering to give me Brady for Rueben Randle straight up.

Pull that trigger and get Brady back? Dalton without AJ is kinda scary.

The worst is not being able to hold out to see if he suits up this week. My other options are Hopkins and Wayne playing Thursday (well, have Michael Floyd too...but not trusting that until they get a bit more consistent).

Just read on Rotoworld the following, which suggests they are considering "shutting Green down for a few weeks"....yet the link to Rappaport's tweet does not say this. Is this another example of irresponsible editorializing by Rotoworld? If not, what is their source??

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports A.J. Green's (toe) status is in doubt for Sunday's game again the Panthers.

Green was carted off on Wednesday after re-injuring his toe injury. He's expected to meet with doctors on Thursday, at which point more will be known on his status. The Bengals are considering "shutting Green down for a few weeks."

...but what is the source of the comment that they are considering holding him out a few weeks? Rotoworld writers sometimes pull crap out of their arse.....but since this was in "quotes"....it had me thinking there was a source.

Guess that makes 3 of us.

At least Davis is at home.

I have Brees and am rolling with Glennon this week. Oddly the Ravens are bottom feeders against the pass now if only the Bucs would throw more!!!!

Green has turf toe. They initially reported it as turf toe but then said it was something else. It's turf toe. The big ball joint of the first toe has strained ligaments. The only cure is rest. Either he sits out for several weeks or he plays injured. Chances are that he suffers from it all season. Do not count on him being 100% for the rest of the season.

ESPN's Bob Holtzman reports A.J. Green (toe) is in a walking boot and will not play Week 6 against the Panthers.

Word is he's gonna suit up this week but we'll see what the practice reports say.

If he is active, do you guys start him this week?

Going forward, what do you expect? He's admitted he won't be 100% and will have to manage pain.

Anybody thinking of dealing him? Has a pretty nice schedule ros so I'm reluctant....but thinking of packaging him to upgrade at another position.

What's your take?
