Others have pointed out that your links, which had no science, talked about police shootings. But the greater point is that shootings is a great proxy for lethal force, since knees-on-necks are fairly rare. And there is not difference in such force. Somehow you missed the most important reason, which is the utterly broken inner city black culture. It's not about skin color -- Nigerians are the most successful immigrant class currently. Ethiopians do very well as well. We've discussed this before: it's about personal responsibility, commitment to education, and family values.

You mean his dad. His mom died of shame at her giving him birth.

Everyone knows this about liberals. We also know how you love killing children. So, there's that.

Ever since the liberals have put themselves in black peoples business things have not improved for black people. Schools are worse than ever, committing crimes at a higher rate, also being victimized at a higher rate. Cities are filthy and in disrepair. More fatherless children. It’s almost as if they want them to be at odds with the police. This way the police catch the blame, not the architects.

https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/frank-tyson-toledo-police-body-cam-video-handcuffed-facedown-bar-floor/ How long are we a society going to allow this sort of thing to continue? How long are conservatives going to pretend that this isn’t an issue, while claiming the real issue is black on black violence? Democrats tried to pass the George Floyd act which might have helped prevent this sort of thing, but Republicans stopped it. Donald Trump is campaigning on giving police unfettered power and immunity against being charged for this sort of activity. Which side are you on?

I guess if you can find where I’ve supported PETA I’d accept your attempt to change the discussion.

Not a huge advantage to having CLEAR so whatever. If the government wants to help air travel they will not allow idiots to bring animals in the cabin. If you need an animal as emational support you are too unstable to fly. Take a bus.

Say it ain't so. All blacks are innocent of everything until they're proven they vote conservative.

If you want to curtail these types of encounters you ought to teach black youths to submit peacefully to arrests, not to freak out, argue, resist, or cry out for help when they are not in distress but they foolishly think that escalating the situation will inure to their benefit. Teach these black youth to submit and to follow directions while their friends film the encounter and call a law firm they have already vetted and have in their phones, a lawfirm that deals with criminal defense and civil rights litigation. Propagating the myth of institutional racism only leads to ignorant and counterproductive responses to police encounters. Some here support creating the myth that most encounters will end badly which results in behavior that leads to bad outcomes. I submit the Tims of the world cause more harm than good. Well intentioned ignorance often does.

If you were granted a wish and you wished to change hearts, eliminating racism, do you believe the problems of the black community would disappear with it? Your only genuine answer to this question must be NO. Anything else is disingenuous. And this hypothetical reveals the folly of your focus on racism. If it vanished today there would be only nominal improvement in the lives of blacks because it isn’t really the problem.

I know you dislike when science disagrees with your beliefs, but Harvard economist Roland Fryer (a black man) showed that there was no police bias in police shootings. There is however bias in non-lethal force. This study hurt his career btw. Colleagues suggested he bury it. Not the right woke message. I wonder how many other such studies meet such a fate? Abstract: This paper explores racial differences in police use of force. On non-lethal uses of force, blacks and Hispanics are more than fifty percent more likely to experience some form of force in interactions with police. Adding controls that account for important context and civilian behavior reduces, but cannot fully explain, these disparities. On the most extreme use of force –officer-involved shootings – we find no racial differences in either the raw data or when contextual factors are taken into account. We argue that the patterns in the data are consistent with a model in which police officers are utility maximizers, a fraction of which have a preference for discrimination, who incur relatively high expected costs of officer-involved shootings.

If the police are a big problem in your life the police aren’t the problem.

Difficult to discuss this with a person who does not understand the definition of "institutionalized".
