3 pointsSo when he said he didn't file the form because his wife had a stillborn baby he was lying? Because that suggests he knew it had to be filed. And if he did he's had 10+ years to file it but hasn't. So which is it? He knew about it but didnt file it or he didn't know about it? There's usually more to these stories. You libs latch on to the original, heartbreaking story and then ignore the follow up with, as Paul Harvey would say, "the rest of the story."

3 pointsI haven't read the actual bill. Just going off of people's reactions and discussions of what is happening. I could be, and hope, I am incorrect.

1 pointPopped a bicep tendon in an arm that has had two elbow dislocations and an external fixature to put together an arm broken in eight spots bck in the day. This was October. Had surgery, recovered for two months and started working back hoping to be able to kayak and raft this summer. Three weeks ago I felt another pop, a different pop. It has been worthless since. Got to see the surgeon this morning. No new damage but advanced arthritis and some prominent bone spurs. He gave me a steroid shot. He thinks that will get me through the summer and maybe he removes the bones spurs in the fall. He says two weeks. This is new to me so we will see. I would hate to miss a paddling season.

1 pointIt isn't happening. A high school track meet in Southern California became the latest flashpoint in the state's ongoing conflict with President Donald Trump's administration over trans athletes in girls' sports. There, multiple girls' competitors fell shy of first place to a biologically male trans athlete. The California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Southern Section Final on Saturday saw the trans athlete take first place in the triple jump and long jump. The second-place finisher in the long jump was Katie McGuinness of La Canada High School. McGuinness recounted the experience of losing to the trans athlete in an interview on Fox News' "America Reports." "I remember thinking to myself, ‘OK, I need to get a big jump,’" McGuinness said. "I ran down the runway and I landed and I watched them measure my mark, and it was 18.9," she said. "And I just remember thinking that there was nothing else that I could do. That was it. And I was honestly very discouraged, and I'm a high school senior and winning CIF has always been a goal of mine, and I wasn't able to compete with someone who was genetically different than me." McGuinness made her overall stance on the issue clear. "There are just certain genetic advantages that biological males have that biological girls don't," she said. "Frankly, I just can't stand for that."

1 pointOne of the many problems with Lawrence is he wants to be great but doesn't understand what that means. I used to see it all the time when I played basketball. There's a certain type of player that just can't make an easy play. They are so desperate to be great, they try to force some awesome play. Think Jason Williams (white chocolate not the duke guy or the power forward). These are the types that see a player cutting through the lane for a wide open elbow jumper but don't throw the pass because they want to try and break down the defender off the dribble and thread the needle for some dude cutting to the basket resulting in a turnover 85% of the time but the same two points they would've gotten on the jumper on some awesome pass 15% of the time. What these guys don't realize is that greatness is just consistently making the easy play 95% of the time and having the ability to make the great play when it's necessary to do so. Think Tom Brady. Lawrence doesn't consistently make the easy play and it kills them. He also holds the ball way too long.

1 pointNope. He ain’t bullshitting. NJ is outrageous. NY is too, but not like that. Cost me 25 bucks to find out.

1 pointOr, more likely, his family owns rental property and he just manages it and pretends he's the owner to everyone else. "Property Manager" seems to be a common thing around here for our resident liberals.

1 pointWho the fock said anything about caring about women's sports? I care about the kids who participate in those sports and are frustrated as hell about this crap you liberals push on them.
-
1 pointI am not going to use that on my virgin 0-ring. Maybe I can pay the kid next door to get after things with his super soaker filled with warm sudsy water. I just hope his mother does not find the request "forward" I don't want to find myself on one of those neighborhood alert maps.

1 pointYou say that and I’ll give you credit for the stance, but the Democratic Party is not in this same place you are. If they were, we could pass legislation to stop this and all move on. That’s the reason this is still an issue. It’s a shame we need legislation for something this straightforward but unfortunately we are in that spot.

1 pointThis makes a lot of sense. The good news is they do seem to be going after and punishing those providers who are committing the fraud. (See Link) The bad news is what you mentioned in the last half of your last sentence. If that's true, it's very unfortunate. https://ccf.georgetown.edu/2025/01/10/the-truth-about-fraud-against-medicaid/
