I agree. The only thing I can think of is that they were looking for Huff and with him gone to the Raiders, they stayed with the same position. Not a bad player, just not very good value, espcially if the reports are true about Denver and Philly wanting to trade up.

They did need a strong safety, but to pick a guy Kiper projected at 17 and pick him #8 is a mistake. The eagles were willing to trade with the bills. They should have been able to get whitner at #14. I would like to know why this trade didn't happen.
