There are probably hundreds of people here who don't like that show, but you're the only goofball that is attention starved enough to keep crying about how you don't like it where everyone else who doesn't like it has the good sense to just not pay attention to the thread. CantTouchThis 23 Posted April 26, 2007 Freakin insane....so, WTF is the chick, and how did she know Desmond's name and have a picture of Desmond, ect? She has no clue where she is at, she is yet another hot piece of ass though I like the clones idea, they already said it's not purgatory, maybe the writers are lying?? But, i think the idea that they are in some sort of worp in space and time is the best one. While Juliet was sleeping in the submarine, they have to strap here in because it got rough as they said, maybe traveling through some sort of worm hole type of a dealy would make it rough. That leaves the question, where did they send Michael and Walt, what about the other ships that crashed, you think Desmond would've noticed traveling through some cosmic thingimagig. Basically, bottom line, if the writers have any holes in their story, they will be very highly exposed with how complicated they made everything. If there are none though, it's going to be an awesome series by the end...
teejay booker 0 Posted April 26, 2007 It means he has a lame tatoo. I'm beginning to think the tattoo has an underlying meaning. The tattoo says, "He walks among us, but is not one of us." Isn't it plausible to think that the tattoo could serve as a symbol for Jack betraying the Losties, and joining the Others? (or at the very least, supporting their research? Remember... he is a doctor). "He walks among us (the Losties), but is not one of us (he's an Other now)." Not going out on much of a limb here, but I agree with whoever said the cliffhanger for the season would be revealing that Jack is an Other. Has he turned to the Dark Side? We shall soon see. Basically, bottom line, if the writers have any holes in their story, they will be very highly exposed with how complicated they made everything. If there are none though, it's going to be an awesome series by the end... I'll give you my opinion on your thoughts bit by bit. First, I think the chick is working for Penny. Remember, Penny is loaded. Why does she need to search for Desmond personally? Remember last season when you saw a clip of her answering a phone call from two dudes that she hired to find Desmond? That call most likely led to this rescue attempt. So I'm thinking she just hired some other person to do it (although this chick is pretty random... You would think it would be some Navy Seal or something). I think Penny gave her the information and the picture could just be a reference for who she is looking for. I do not think that the Losties are clones of themselves. Although, it is difficult to explain the chick's comments about the plane going down and them not finding any survivors. I think this whole occurence points to the whole worm hole/time loop argument. My theory differs a little, though, from other theories. I think the Others somehow manipulated time in a fashion that they made the plane crash a "2nd time," only over the ocean. I think that they wanted the Losties on the island without anyone looking for them so that they could use them for their experiments. By crashing the plane a 2nd time, where all the passengers very may well have died, the Others created a scenario where NOBODY would ever come looking on the island. Ultimately, I think the big black box is the source of the time loop. The Others used the box to go back in time and capture Locke's father, in order to mystify Locke into joining their campaign. Ben knows that Locke is powerful. Out of anyone on the island, he has benefited the most by far. Does this ultimately mean that Locke is more worthy than the rest? Why is the island killing pregnant mothers? Where does the black cloud fit in with all of this and where did it come from? I think we will get some answers by the end of the season. This show does nothing but tick me off. I'm seriously through with it. Also, the Juliette character is the worst ever. No reasonable person would tolerate the way she just gives you a blank stare every time she's asked a direct question. Someone needs to slap her face and say "Hey, BTCH, did you fcking hear me or WHAT?" And her barging into Sun's tent last night and jumping her and covering her mouth. Inexcusable. Even on this stupid island. Anyone in that position would have jacked her up and said "Ever heard of just knocking?!!?" Not to mention, any viewer with half a brain knows that her character hasn't told the truth to a single Lostie since the introduction of her character. Sun's baby ain't from thsi island. No reasonable person would tolerate the way she just gives you a blank stare every time she's asked a direct question. Someone needs to slap her face and say "Hey, BTCH, did you fcking hear me or WHAT?" Ha, thats the EXACT same thing i was thinking. That blank stare with that stupid smile. That ###### pisses me off and i use to kinda like her. Finally saw the episode today. I thought it was alright. Kinda sucks that they left us with this cliff hanger and then for the next week they're gonna switch to jack and ignore this story. I don't know what she said after the patch guy fixed her, but estos is not thank you. But i'm sure it was obvious to everyone she didnt say thank you. My favorite character is Jin. That episode cemented that. It was funny, when at first they started fighting i was like your asian, wheres your karate at? Then he did that head chop followed by that round house. I thought they would avoid the stereotype but i guess not. But yea, he's a bad ass. Always doin what he feels like he has to do. He only started being focked up to sun when his father focked with his head but he didn't say nothin. The worst part about it is, he only fulfilled his duty because he thought he was in debt for the wedding. Sun pisses me off. Focking adulterer.
Cdub100 3,894 Posted April 27, 2007 ###### retarded. It's like the writers change the rules every episode. She has a punctured lung, but she'll be okay in a day. Yeah we know the island has healing powers, but what about all the other poor bastards that died? What about the high school teacher that had a rash? The FBI guy that was transporting Katie. Hurly's woman, Anna the other that got bashed in the head... on and on we go. WTF is it selective healing? Oh and don't get me started on the flash back. I swear Jin and sun flash backs are almost as bad as kate flashbacks. We get it, Jin is ashamed of his past WE KNOW!!! We know sun had an affair and that she loved Jin very much when they first got married. We know all this why the ###### do I have to site through it again. Another waste of an episode. What do we have left for the season 4 more eps? and we have to put up with this ######.

phillybear 366 Posted April 27, 2007 Couple of speculative thoughts. Probably nothing that hasn't been brought up in the past... There may be some merit to the possibilities of cloning. Maybe the Others are either clones of people elsewhere on Earth, and because they are clones, they are not able to reproduce or their women die in childbirth. Or.... The island is a parallel universe, where the Others are able to jump from one reality to another. And can't reproduce on the Lost island because of the jumping. The magic box is the gateway that allows Locke's father to appear on the island. And Jack's dad. And Hurley's friend Dave. Etc. And... Maybe Jacob is Ben, the original, not the clone. Hmmm. I might be on to something here, especially the way the episode ended. I got a bit drunk last night, and didn't remember much of the episode. Just re-watched it. Random thoughts, then I'll read the posts from last night from you folks. Might have seemed like a throw away scene, but Sun asking Kate about Jack..."Jack seems different" and "Do you believe him?" Serious foreshadowing for the next couple of episodes. Sun following Sayid's lead from a couple of episodes ago...."I want answers" and "What are you people doing?" Yes, this is what everyone in the viewing universe is screaming at the TV. Mikhail appearing out of nowhere. Now, this could be the island healing someone. Or...something sinister, like the smoke monster in disguise yet again, as Mikhail. A manifestation that healed Naomi for some future purpose. Jin is a bad ass ninja. Juliette is a dam good actress. Just give her a well deserved Emmy already. She is a complex character, playing many different roles. You hate her. You sympathize with her. You really hate her. Awesome stuff. For the first time, I really hated Sun. If the writers were trying to gain sympathy for her character, forget it. She put Jin in the position of being personal assistant to her father when she asked for the money. Then she cheated on him. Then she was going to leave him. And it was her dam fault that Jin was in a pickle working for her father as his assistant. Her fault. I hope she dies. Mercifully, Claire was barely in the episode. Die. Die. Die. Looks like communication is improving on the island. When Mikhail shows up, Charlie knew he was the one who shot Sayid at the Flame station, and Hurley knew that Locke threw him into the fence. About frigging time. I don't think Naomi knows Penny. Granted, she has a picture of her. But they are making it too obvious that she is working for Penny. And the fact that Mikhail followed the flair, if he wasn't really the smoke monster, then he was possibly expecting her. Naomi isn't what she seems. "On this island, wounds are different." Interesting. But we already knew this, kind of. Locke walking. Charlie living after being hung. But not always, with Boone dying and Ben in a wheelchair. The island is the judge. So there is no way of knowing if Naomi recovers, and quickly. Interesting to note the increased sperm count. Kate is pregnant. I hope everyone caught that part. Where Juliette said she hopes to get a sample from Austen, right after telling Ben about Sun's pregnancy. That is why she needs her sample. Kate is pregnant. It's no accident that the Others allowed Sawyer to have sex with Kate. They knew that Kate would get pregnant. No survivors. Wow. First of all, cloning and parallel universes are possible, but I'm going to take a wait and see attitude. There are so many possibilities, including that Naomi is an Other and is lying, that I will see where they take this angle. And what happened to Walt and Michael? They left the island. So did they make it. Unless they are on the lamb for Michael killing Ana Lucia and Libby, Michael would have needed to reestablish his life going back to where he lived. Wouldn't someone notice, "Hey, didn't you die on that plane?"
MicktheGreat 1 Posted April 27, 2007 Mikhail appearing out of nowhere. Now, this could be the island healing someone. And the fact that Mikhail followed the flair, if he wasn't really the smoke monster, then he was possibly expecting her. Naomi isn't what she seems. There's a possibility that he was expecting Naomi... Here's another possibility (assuming that Mikhail was NOT the smoke monster): Mikhail wakes up next to the invisible fence (apparently healed by the island). He can't go back to his communications' bunker (exploderated by Locke). Maybe he manages to find the Other Village since he's not that far away from it -- only to discover that nobody's there (they all left town before gassing Kate). Given the fact that Mikhail apparently spent all of his time in the communications bunker, it's reasonable to believe that he doesn't know exactly where the island hatches are. So...he's probably a bit disoriented (after being raised from the dead and all), can't find any of his buddies, has no where to go, and is in constant danger of being skewered by one of Rosseau's crazy traps (ala Charlie). Is it possible to believe that he just stumbled across the Losties by accident??? Or, maybe more likely, is he just desperately hoping to find one of his fellow Others??? phillybear 366 Posted April 27, 2007 Being that Naomi said "I am not alone", why couldn't Penny already be on the island? If Locke's father is on the island, why not Penny? One way is this magic box that Ben talked about, and the thoughts of people can conjure up real-life people like Locke's dad. OR maybe Naomi is an Other who captures people and brings them to the island to fock with the heads of the Losties. Maybe she abducted Anthony Cooper because Ben wanted Locke to become an Other. Maybe Ben ordered the abduction of Penny to mess with Desmond's head, who all of the sudden has these new powers. Naomi crashed, Mikhail came running because of the flare. He wanted to walk away, not to escape, but to find where Penny's parachute ended up.
