you keep doing the same things to both sides of the equation until the x is by itself on one side.

I can answer any question on math. I am not exceptionally gifted in math, its just i had to take alot of it in college, more than the average person. Since i started going to school again this year, after a few years off, I had to refresh myself on math. On my own, I had to study Differential Equations because we were using them quite a bit in one of my design classes.

So if you need any questions answered feel free to ask, and i bet i can answer it.

If you click on that link, and you are wondering, what the hell math like that would ever be used for. It is used for designing chemical reactors, and also heat transfer equations, among other things.

No. It was invented by Muslims so by the standards set forth by RP, gocolts, and posty it is outlawed.

Brian Johnson: What do you know about trigonometry?

John Bender: I could care less about trigonometry.

Brian Johnson: Bender, did you know without trigonometry there would be no engineering?

John Bender: Without lamps there'd be no light.

That is because for the vast majority of people, it is freaking useless. Fortunately, I recognized that in high school, and always skipped that class.

Actually the formulas and stuff themselves may be useless, however the logic that algebra teaches those who go to class are things that you should apply in real life; like deductive reasoning. It is not a suprise that you didn't learn that based on the logic you spew in this forearm.

I use a ton of geometry as an engineer. I also use algebra to solve certain formulas with different variables. But the 4 semesters of calculus that I took in college are pretty useless to me now.

Al Gebra is one of the most widely viewed news sources in the Middle East. Though, if you are unfamiliar with the language, I can certainly see where you would be confused. Perhaps you could start off by helping your child with her BBC's?

I disagree. Algebra can be used in many practical applications. It's just not called "Algebra". Lot of Financial applications. Where I fell off the track was Trig. God, that was stupid. Imaginary numbers? Okay, here's my imaginary homework. You imaginary fock. Geesus, that was stupid shiit. I mean, seriously - i remember getting into it with my trig teacher. That was the official end of me and higher math.

All I know about Algebra is that he was the donkey on Little Rascals.
