titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted February 23, 2009 Ok, heres a good reason not to vote for MTSkiBum, and from his own mouth, in the "should weed be legalized" thread. I voted no, and i believe that it shouldnt be legalized. I dont think that smoking pot is a bad thing, that is not why i voted no. I am not currently smoking weed, but that doesnt mean i wont ever light up again, i may or may not. I have nothing against smoking pot. First and foremost, the price of weed would most likely drop quite a bit if it was legalized. The price of weed would have to be set so that people would buy it, rather than grow it in their gardens, this would mean around 20 dollar eighths. This would mean that people could smoke alot more weed than what they currently are smoking. Also the quality would go up quite a bit. With weed being legalized people would be smoking white widow, cali mist, etc.. and they would also be smoking hash. Even if hash wasnt legal, it is fairly easy to make, so it would be impossible to stop people from smoking it with weed being legal. I dont think that it would be good for people to have access to tons of high potency marijuana. It has a different effect than smoking like most people smoke. There is also the case of stoned drivers, with more people smoking weed, and with the fact that people who already smoke weed would smoke more weed, it would lead to an increase in the number of people who smoke weed before driving, or while driving. With no "breathalyzer test" for weed smoking there would be no way for cops to deter these people. I rest my case. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
