RP lives in my city, or at least he did. We were supposed to go get a beer years ago, and I prolly know him in real life, because our paths likely would have crossed myriad times over the years.

This dig up shows a lot.  It shows the slippery slope is very real.  Clear as day.  Also shows that people were much more normal just 10 or 15 years ago.  Now many normals have been swept away by the progressive wave.

I was not here for RP (well I think I was but only posted on FF forum) but know people have talked about HT being him.  I was really just going off the post in this thread which sounds like something he would say.

It isn't a circle jerk for me.  I won't be here all day going back and forth with you weirdos.  I just think it is very telling/interesting.   It is a glimpse into where we were as a country just 10 or 15 years ago.  A dem like MDC had thr audacity to care about what was being taught at school.  Hell didn't want to talk about race when the first black president was elected.  Now hell, now it is who cares what they teach or say to the children....it isn't that big of a deal.   Tell thrm about men who hack off theit junk and wear pantyhose.  Now we have tranny and lgbqrt clubs for middle schoolers.

Yesterday's normal is today's "alt right". Yesterday's Liberal is today's Conservative.   The minority progressives of yesterday have really shamed liberals into submission.   And now they have naturally multiplied because of said submission.

Fact is this country has slowly moved liberal for a long time.  But last 10 years it has sped up a bunch.  Conservatives have given leeway to the left.  The left never gives leeway to thr right.  And now we sit here and watch it just slip away into a progressive mess that no one wanted just 13 years ago.  But they were shamed into submission.

They could argue it but based on what?  I think Liberals are a mess and have awful ideas and use social issues as weapons. But I can be socially liberal a bit.  I give no shlts about abortion.   I don't care what anyone does or how they want to love their life.  Dude wants to call hinself Sue and watch The View.  Cool.  But I stop when we start treating transgender people as endangered species and everyone need to bow down to their wants and feelings.  Then we have to push it on the kids so they know that these people are "really normal" and they are off limits as far as any scrutiny.  

There is no way in hell this country is more conservative than it was 10 years ago.  20.  30.  40.  No shot in hell.  I am not ready with links and studies but this is common knowledge, no?   Electing a Republican president for a single term who used to be a Democrat is the example of why we are more conservative today.   It just isn't true.

I personally don’t see the big issue with the teacher saying that.   Obama was the first black President, so yes race was going to come up and I’m sure 4th graders have had conversations about race before.

Also keep in mind this was not the regular teacher but a sub.  Most subs are worthless to begin with.

I don’t really know what MDC has posted in other threads to determine if this contradicts other things he said.

I mean I expect you to not move from it.  But it doesn't align with how you think now.  Not in 1 million years would you make this thread today.  It isn't some gotcha moment for me.  It just shows how far down the progressive rabbit hole we are.  Some of us have realized it.  Some of you.....centrists.....refuse to see it.  This thread brings to light what I and others have said for a while.  Progressives got to many liberals and totally changed their thinking within a decade.   It gave you pause that a teacher would talk about thr racial dynamics of the FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT.   But today if they wanted to talk to them about George Floyd a drug addict who was apparently a saint or BLM or a grown mans prefered pronouns.....then that is totally cool.  Just 13 years later.
