Sooooo......the MIB was lying about being Christian, right?

I was wondering this too.

Even stranger: Claire seemed to contradict herself. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't she tell Jin that Locke was "her friend" and that Christian was someone else?

This episode:  took Jack aside to talk to him. It was dark. He was holding a torch. When they walked back into camp it was daylight. :lock: What am I missing?

I'm beginning to agree with Philly that the writers are getting sloppy.

While this season hasn't been as awful as the final couple seasons of The X-Files, it has been very average and at times feels very sloppily put together.

BTW - The last couple seasons of The X-files had to be the worst demise of a great show I'd ever seen. FOX was squeezing the stone for water on that one.

The episode was OK. It moved the story forward, and didn't enrage me that much. This season, we've seen better, we've seen worse.

How badly did you want Claire to put a bullet through Kate?

Also, show of hands...how many were thinking, hoping, and praying that the fences weren't disabled when Jin/Sun were going to hug? How perfect that would have been.

My wife smacked me because I commented that it would be funny if they started foaming at the mouth and bleeding when they embraced.

I wanted them both to die during their dialogue, preferably by a naked mud wrestling match to the death.

Their conversation at the dock was like a head-to-head competition for Worst Actress.

That said, I would love to piston my man-meat in and out of Kate's pooper.

Two questions (or maybe a comment and a question):

After last episode (in the previews for this week) I'm near certain it showed Sayid firing into the well (maybe it wasn't the well, but they sure made it seem like it was). Am I misremembering? Or were we duped?

I am 99% sure it showed him with a rifle and not a pistol. Time loops? I have faith that these obvious difference will get explained and won't be just sloppy writing.

Also, Jack wants to stay on the island. Like i said, even though some of you don't like character development(even though it is a huge part of the show), Jacks change in character has been insane. He was the opposite of Locke for 4.5 seasons, and in 1 season he is now the new Locke. At this point, i can't see anyone else being the new Jacob.

It was a pistol.

It also showed him looking down the well...then there was a gunshot...however it was difficult to tell if it was Sayid shooting or if it was just the promo doing it as they transitioned to another scene.

Great episode. The two timelines are merging...

MIB is in charge of the alternative timeline. It is what he is offering them if they get off the island. I'm starting to think this is very much like the Matrix.

There was a comment last night that Jack has changed. I think it was by Sawyer. He is right. I think Jack has really changed....so much so that I think he is really Jacob.

Great show last night. Locke is one scary dude.

No way Sayid shoots Desmond right? I enjoyed Desmond's rhetoric, he gets cuffs off from Locke saying " I have no where to go." and appealing to Sayid's achilles heel with Sayid's chick,"What are you going to tell her?" Interesting that Sayid didn't tell the chick that he just killed 3 fools in the alt timeline. After the explosion, that was some deja vu with Jack coming to, like from pilot episode, glitch in the matrix?

Hurley's Anakin reference was a nice hint that Sayid didn't shoot Desmond. Probably ended up helping Desmond somehow...

Not to mention that when MIB was supposedly permanently in Locke's body, Christian was appearing to Ben and Sun at the Dharma HQ telling them to wait for Locke.

When Sun was being wheeled into the hospital next to Locke, it looked like she was completely aware of Locke being a baddy on the island, but you would have thought she would have brought up her memories of a whole different timeline when she woke up next to Jin.

Yep. MIB is in both time lines. See my post a few before this one.

Most of them have changed. Hell, look at Sawyer! He was the biggest con-man, selfish son-of-a-b!tch the first few seasons. I quote, "I'm no hero."

Now he's exactly what JACK was season 1: the leader, the rationalist, the guy obsessed with getting everyone (who matters) off the island.

No, it's not MIB. It's the real John Locke in the LAX. Sun was having a memory-flash and confused the two.

Excellent call.

But this isn't a writer goof: MIB is lying.

I think Desmond and Jack end up teaming up somehow, and Desmond is the one who "leads" or "helps" Jack become the next caretaker of the island.

Not sure I agree. If she was getting baked by the electromagnetic pole I'd be more inclined to agree.

I think Locke is actually Locke in the alternate timeline. Now way MiB settles for the lieks of Helen.

Yeah, but Bundy got the young version. He wouldn't have touched this 50 year old version with Jerfferson's d¡ck.

Not to mention that when MIB was supposedly permanently in Locke's body, Christian was appearing to Ben and Sun at the Dharma HQ telling them to wait for Locke.

I went through this a couple months ago; IF, and that is a big IF, the writers didn't produce a big plot hole with their shotty writing; MIB can NOT be Christian. I don't want to go through it again, but if the writing was done on purpose, MIB is NOT and never was Christian. We have seen Christian off the island, MIB is trapped, and many other examples. Christian either is the island itself in human form(i think the most likely) or he is an entire entity, think of him as the Richard for the island, he is an advisor that helps people do what they are suppose to.

You can take everything MIB takes with a grain of salt, he is a liar and the ultimate manipulator. Methinks Ben vs. MIB will happen at some point with Ben trying to manipulate MIB and maybe winning and saving the world.

Also, we have knows this for a little while, but...

Jack = new Locke/Jacob

Sawyer = new Jack

Claire = new Russo

Hurley = new Richard(but, there are a few other candidates to take other Richard's spot, including Richard)

Ben = new pvssy follower(for now, i am thinking that will abruptly change)

Desmond = new Eloise? kind of

I think Hurley will decide to stay too, and eventually maybe all of them.

This is actually a legit line of reasoning here. No way MIB gives a sh!t about a woman. If he was walking in Locke's body in LAX -

1. He'd be walking

2. He wouldn't care about love in the slightest.

No way Richard stays. His fate is clear: he'll die to finally be with his wife.

IF there is a new Richard, it might be Hurley.

Or it could be someone from a completely different group of people and never shown (until LOST: THE MOVIE).

I'm still 100% convinced the series ends with Jack and MIB-Locke sitting on the beach.

"Morning."

"Morning."

Then a plane flies overhead and crashes on the other side of the island.

Locke turns and glares pure hate at Jack.

Jack smiles.

END.

Yeah, he would take one look at Helen, tilt his head slightly, then rip out her Larynx.

Me too.

Though I'd really like to see a major character die in an un-sentimental way, sort of like how Ilana went out.

Make it a crazy situation. Everyone is running around. Bullets flying everywhere. Smokey slamming people into palm trees. Explosions going off left and right. Sawyer running with Kate and Claire across the beach. They make it to the jungle line. Sawyer spins and says, "Everyone ok?"

Kate says, "I think so."

Then the polar suddenly jumps out of the jungle and knocks Kate's head off with one swipe.

(and somewhere in a small, filthy, Philadelphia apartment, a giant man dressed in black experiences his first orgasm since 1981)

How it is there is a sailboat just sitting there that no one sees? :overhead:

and after 3 years of always being able to find everything without a problem, Jack finally needs a map? :overhead:

jack swam back to the island faster than it took the boat to get to the other side

1.the sailboat wasn't always there, it is hard to see more than 20 yards in a jungle.

2. the map was given so that is one less thing he had to worry about

3. boat can't go through land, it has to go around it, jack's like Boston Rob but better at swimming

let me know if you want something else splained doosh.

Pretty sure the boat is Desmond's old boat, right?

They've used it before, notably in Season 2 when Sayid took it around the island to surprise The Others, and later when Desmond tried to sail away but kept coming back.

just sitting there all that time, no one saw it or tried sailing away?

you know how ridiculous this show has become, admit it.

yes it was Desmond's boat. The others had taken it so stands to reason some of the ones now with MIB would have known where it was hidden and told him.
