Joey Gladstone 33 Posted October 23, 2011 Not making excuses, but...... It's ALWAYS the officials keeping the Hawks down. Easily the most known conspiracy in football!! (If you're a Hawk fan) Did I say they lost the game because of the officiating? I did not. Reading Comprehension. They lost the game because Charlie Whitehurst sucks and their defense was left on the field for too long. There were some TERRIBLE calls that didn't help things and I was venting on that. Joey Gladstone 33 Posted October 23, 2011 How do you lose a game 6-3 to the BROWNS? Whitehurst and penalties (both bogus and deserved).

Joey Gladstone 33 Posted October 24, 2011 Bogus like in your stolen Super Bowel victory? The funny thing is, it's usually non-Hawk fans bringing that game up. I prefer not talking about it.
Kopy 559 Posted October 24, 2011 Great game by Cousins before the hail mary, against a very good Wisconsin D. That'll solidify his ranking for me for this years draft. And holy crap does Whitehurst suck. Next year we have a true #1 with TJ #2 and Portis #3. Bye bye Charlie!!!
jgcrawfish 232 Posted October 24, 2011 Wow, now nearly 8 weeks into the season and I just realized you're right...It is an EXCITING time to be a Seahawks fan!!! It must be VERY exciting to suck but not suck quite hard enough for the QB savior you guys need but won't get.
shovelheadt 68 Posted October 24, 2011 Wow another turd stops by. Go buy your Raider jersey so you can support Carson the quitter. The guy quits on your team and you support him Yep, you're an idiot. Now run along... LMAO...I love it. This thread should be written in crayon.

It must be VERY exciting to suck but not suck quite hard enough for the QB savior you guys need but won't get. Don't kid yourself. There's gonna be alot of consolation prizes this year. It'll go down as the best QB draft since 84. And one could argue (me) that the best QB isn't Luck (although definitly 1B). It's the kid who's only lost 1 game in the last 3 years. phillybear 366 Posted October 24, 2011 The biggest development this year is the vast improvement of the defense. Sooooo many years of a horrible defense that just could not get off the field. Now, it shuts down the opponent's running game, makes big plays, the best pair of young safeties in the league; it's been a revelation. The offense lacks a QB and has only one playmaker in Rice. Cleveland spent too much time hanging around midfield and kept giving the Seahawks terrible field position. But, come on. Three lousy points?
Joey Gladstone 33 Posted October 24, 2011 It is a crying shame to have to take a loss when the defense played so well. Red Bryant had to be thrown out for kicking too much ass. It sucks that Thurmond broke his leg, but I'm pretty confident in Sherman. ET and Kam give the corners plenty of help anyways. Whitehurst might not be in the league next year. It feels awkward to be looking forward to Tavaris Jackson coming back.

Sweetness_34 0 Posted October 31, 2011 This is really EXCITING.....suck all season long and then you still do not get Luck! LOLOLOLOLOL....nice job trading for Whitehurst giving up a pick in the 1st 3 rounds and then paying him all that money to either hold the clipboard or completely suck while playing. What a pathetic franchise. Just move this God awful franchise to LA. NW fans do not care anyway. They already lost their basketball team. There is always the Sounders! Nice job giving away 10 first round picks for a QB that fakes an injury in a playoff game and quits. But at least you'll get maybe two more years out of him before he loses his feet to diabetes. His eyesight is already gone, what with his inability to distinguish uniform colors and who to throw to. The entire NBA lost their teams this year. Who cares about that fixed, shitty sport anyway? For fock's sake, Hitler was winning titles. When the Bears finish in last place, the NFL should consider a college football type of realignment and banish Chicago to the Canadian Football League. Joey Gladstone 33 Posted October 31, 2011 I think Danny Kelly sums it up best: To me, this is not a team that is coming apart at the seams or imploding; the sky isn't falling and the wheels aren't falling off. They're a young, not-yet-very-good team that lost a couple games that they should've won. That's really all this is to me. The potential is still there. This team has some talent, and that talent is improving. I'm not surprised they lost this game, because they're still not there. Did anyone think they were? There's no easy fix. I also liked the call before halftime. Carroll is getting destroyed for the decision (and rightfully so because it failed) but at the time I was SCREAMING for them to go for it. It's not good football by any means, but in the heat of the moment the unconventional just seemed right to me. Also, for the first time in three years I can actually see talent on both sides of the ball. Said talent has made some idiotic mistakes but at least they are failing in ways that can be corrected and not because they just can't match up physically. Losing sucks, and I'm sure the groupies will be all over this statement, but I think with time and more experience the mistakes will decrease and success will come. If that makes me sound like a loser then so be it. To an outsider just checking the score this team looks like a train wreck but I still have a good feeling about where this team is headed. It's a far cry from 2009 when the team was old, small and slow. No excuses, the Bengals are a pretty damn good football team. Everybody knew Green was going to be a stud, but Andy Dalton has really impressed me. Hard-nosed defense too.

This year, one blow out, at Pittsburgh. Every other loss, the Seahawks were trailing by less than a TD in the fourth quarter. Clearly Jackson and Whitehurst are stop gaps. You ever wonder if Hasselbeck came back this year, how many of those toss up losses might have gone in the win column? Might have been neck and neck with SF. But, I guess in the end they get better draft positioning, so the team can take some projected 3rd rounder in the top 15 picks.

You can't predict injuries, but I still think Matt gets destroyed behind that o-line in the first two weeks of the season. If he was healthy, we beat Cleveland and mayyybe Cincy. He would have LOVED playing with Zach Miller. Woulda, shoulda, coulda. Also, I'd bump up Portis to #2. No way he can be any worse then Whitehurst.

Fantasy Noob 10 Posted October 31, 2011 I saw Whitehurst was starting gave him 3 passes and turned the TV off. Finally couldn't take it any more and turned it on at the start of the 4th and there was Tavaris...I was extremely happy to see him. But at best Tavaris is a good backup that can keep you in games and win a couple here and there. We need a franchise QB this draft darn it. I dont mind Carrol going for the TD at the end of the 1st (highlights only way I knew about this) but what the hell was he doing when we were down by 15 with 2 minutes to go and he started taking timeouts??? This isn't college football where you have to dress up a losing score. The diginified thing to do is take a knee there and let the clock run out. We could have gotten a player injured for no reason whatsoever and that Cincy defense was tough. Seems unduly disrespectful too, I liked Marvin Lewis's grin after the pick 6 too.
