oh right...like didn't half of you assume blacks would riot if a not guilty verdict was given.

how wrong and racist was that??

Honestly, I did assume that.

I'm just glad that it didn't / hasn't happened yet.

Mebbe more blacks are realizing that that train of thought won't get them anywhere in life. Mebbe it was the PSA's , I have no idea.

As far as racist on my part? Mebbe....But there is a reason for the stereotypes that are out there.

Jews, Whites, Blacks, Messicans, whatever.

Serial killer? Must be a white guy.

Embezzlement ? Prolly a white or Jewish guy.

Drive by? Prolly a Black or Hispanic guy.

Bombing? Prolly a middle eastern or white guy.

Watermellon shortage? The white farmer made this happen.

I wonder if Zimmerman will sue (or has he already?) NBC and other media entities who fabricated stories?

Has already. NBC has been waiting for the verdict to assess how much it's out of court settlement will be.

here is my other uncle's take (former los angeles police officer):

I have been sitting reading all the bullshit flowing out about this latest verdict that didn't go the way you wanted. Never mind what is legal, you want BLOOD! You want REVENGE! . I've seen so many hurt, bleeding, dead, ripped off, raped, beaten, sad, crying young black men... and for each of them is another young black man who victimized them. You make me sick with this . So all of this "Outpouring". There are tens of thousands of victims of violent crime all around you, but you only give a when the hustlers, hacks and agenda driven activist tell you you should? Sometimes I want to just close this thing down and not speak anyone except my family. But the world won't go away and I am stuck being a part of it. So I will just shake my head sadly and remind myself that I do love some of you, take a deep breath and remember that God must have a plan. Not sure what the it is, but I guess you just have to have faith.

at least one person of color agrees with you all.

The real story in that case is the way the Florida legislature has messed with the traditional burden of proof when claiming self-defense. Under the common law and current Indiana law, a defendant who asserts self-defense has the burden to prove the elements of self-defense by a preponderance of the evidence. This means that the defendant almost always has to testify to explain why self-defense was necessary, why the amount of force used was reasonable under the circumstances, etc. But under Florida law, the defendant only has to create a reasonable doubt that he might have been defending himself. It really effects the jury instructions, and takes the pressure off of the defendant to explain his actions. There are hundreds of years of wisdom built into the common law regarding self-defense, and it should not be abandoned.

His outrage is well placed, god bless him for recognizing the bigger problem, its just a shame so few people think for themselves instead of following the media like zombies

Incorrect.

Following somebody does not = being violently attacked. Too bad the NAACP doesn't understand that it should work harder at limiting the violence of its members rather than condoning it.

The jury got the verdict right given the provable evidence, but I do not for a second believe tht GZ couldn't have protected himself without killing TM, and I think GZ'a version of events is bullsh1t.

They couldn't get him on Murder 2 so they decide tio try for Manslaughter in the 11th hour. It doesn't work and GZ is off on both. But The DOJ is not giving up - no sir!!! They are trying currently to find a way to bring a civil trial against GZ. isn't is great when The Federal Government interjects? No chance did Obama have anything to do with the GZ case getting all that race/pub - no chance I say

The Windy City reached a grim milestone over the long Fourth of July weekend as the city's homicide rate surpassed 200.

The city logged its 200th homicide of the year on Saturday when a 24-year-old man was shot to death in the 1000 block of West Maxwell Street on the Near West Side, according to RedEye Chicago.

Eyewitness saying he saw TM on top of GZ reigning blows down on him MMA style.

Broken nose. Lacerations on back of head.

Evidence from the prosecution? none.

I think the "preponderance of the evidence" threshold was far exceeded.

Of course not, unless these deaths can generate viewers for the media or somehow be fit into a special interests agenda, the deaths are worthless....

I never said it was proven false at the trial, the jury gave the right verdict. I just don't believe GZ was unable to avoid a lethal confrontation given his history of over zealous and weird behavior.

Or, perhaps Trayvon Martin was unable to avoid it due to his history of drug use and affection for firearms?

I think the guy holding the gun is in a better position to resolve a conflict without lethal force. :dunno:

The fact that GZ acted like a stereotypical little weenus tough guy with a gun is relevant to my opinion on what likely happened.

---> . The Point

I got the point, moron.

Jack was saying the problem with this case is that the Fl legislature lowered the burden on anyone claiming self defense, and it should be like it is in Indiana.

My point was the level of proof offered by the defense met the Indiana guidelines, so the law in Fl was not the problem with the case.

But unlike you and your ilk, I'm going off of the evidence of the case, not what Al Sharpton tells me to think.

HTH, moron.

Does the DOJ proceed with the civil case? They are already looking into it due to NAACP pressure. I cannot remember when the NAACP was able to pressure the white house? Instead of Holder killing this he lets it keep going............................. Is Obama pulling Holder strings or it Holder just really this incompetent on his own?

Stereotype any way you want, in my opinion the guy with the gun is in a position to prevent a violent confrontation therefore GZ's version of events seems to be bullsh1t.

Guy with gun =poosy ?

Lots and lots of blacks carry and use guns to commit felonies.

Mdc, mob, peenie and others are obviously racist for calling the thousands of blacks poosys

:)

Chicago is loaded with poosys.

One question though for you racists, carrying a gun legally ...more poosy or less poosy ?

So what your saying is that Trayvon had no way in preventing this from being a violent/physical confrontation? It was all out his control?

No, but getting your ass kicked by an unarmed 17 year old while you're carrying sure is. :o

All GZ had to do was tell Travon he was carrying or show him the gun and nothing happens. Or just stop following the kid as instructed.

Ooooorrrrrrr......Trayvon could have said "I'm visiting my Dad in Apt XXX, fock off" and continue walking home. Maybe, just maybe, it might be a good idea to not beat the sh!t out of people who question you. I know a lot of civilized people who practice this mentality. :dunno:

Oh, OK, I was still running with the because George Zimmerman was this and that thing you were working on. If we are going to stick to the facts instead I guess maybe a trial by jury would, wait, never mind....

We'll just have to take GZ's word for it that after ignoring the cops and following TM around, Martin suddenly pounced on him like an animal before he could warn him that he was armed.
