And we begin our 90's polls. Hope you weren't expecting a sudden shift to awesome just because a new decade began.

Never trust a big butt and a smile.

Easy choice, although I suspect Cradle of Love will walk away with the win. Why? Because too many Geeks just vote for the most popular white guy rock song, as oppose to the song that was actually coolest. Lame.

Prolly the easiest one for me so far -- I love Blaze of Glory (and I can't believe that was a Billboard top 10). Poison is fun, would have picked that next. Vogue and Nothing Compares are alright.

Nothing Compares To You

A throwaway Prince song, a remarkable performance. Holds up well to the test of time.

I'll at least support the pope killer as a winner if she holds on, as I march in a fight against redneck choices. :music_guitarred:

Wow, what a steaming pile of shiot music. I honestly do not have a favorite. So no vote from me this time. :(

Vision of Love was Mariah Carey's debut single. I still remember seeing the video on MTV and knowing she'd be a huge star. Just an amazing voice. I liked this song. As embarrassing as it might be to admit, I also liked the Wilson Phillips song. I've always bee a huge fan of great harmonies and these girls sang great together. And when your fathers are Brian Wilson and Papa John Phillips, you certainly come from a great music background. The En Vogue song also had great harmonies.

Nothing Compared 2 U is a good song, written by Prince. Kind of got old though and I have no desire to listen to it today. Poison and Vogue are garbage.

I like a few Roxette songs and enjoyed the back and forth between the guy and the short-haired blonde. This wasn't one of my favorites, though. I ws surprised to see Cradle of Love in the top ten. I never considered it one of the most popular Billy Idol songs. I guess I was wrong.

To me, the clear cut winner here is Another day in Paradise by Phil Collins. Great sounding sound that also had a good message. Also really liked David Crosby's backing vocals.

 @ ME for choosing Wilson Phillips "Hold On"

I normally choose ANY CRAP ROCK tune over anything else, but I chose that because it's a song that has stayed with me all these years.

Please Forgive Me ;)

I think Nothing Compares 2 U is a great song. reaching the 90's is a real relief after some of the drizzle we endured in the last decade. :music_guitarred:

Good group here, only a couple of songs I never liked. While I  Roxette and Sinead... my choice is Bell Biv Devoe. Although I will admit all 3 are on my iPod.

Well the decade hasn't gone into the crapper just yet. Still good songs here as the '80s sound unwinds. Went with Bon Jovi.

Whatever wins 1990 is probably the best song of the decade.

Oh crap ... I did not realize BBD was on the list. Might change my vote.

Also .... "Hold on" was the name of the En Vogue song?

"Never trust a big butt and a smile."

Words to live by.

Went with Billy Idol..the only song in that heap of crap I wouldn't immediately shut off. Plus, I'd just think of the chick in the video. She had a great ass.

That is a steaming pile of crap, saved only by exactly how HOT Alannah Myles is/was.

First ten was nothing special either, Bon Jovi focking sucks and is gonna be showing up pretty regularly for a bit. I went with Nothing Compares 2 U as well. As much for the Sinead version as for the Prince version with Rosie Gaines, that showed up on one of his greatest hits or B sides or something like that.

I think I forgot that prince wrote nothing compares 2 U and thought about changing my vote cause I don't like picking a cover song but its so much better as a "song" in my book even though its totally not my kind of music generally

That meant it was either written by Prince or Mahan Day.

Not a great 10. Actually, in the notables from 11-100, I only like a handful of these. Having said that, BBD - Poison is a fun song that is on my Iphone. Gets my vote.
