The engines in question, we have a two year supply. The US is also making their own shuttle taxi. Those are supposed to be up and running by 2017. I don't see this aa a big deal at all. The russian that had the contract will lose millions, and I think it cost the US something like 60 million to use russia to launch an astronaut. This only seems to financially affect Russia.

Russia Sent Tanks to Separatists in Ukraine, U.S. Says

DONETSK, Ukraine — The State Department said Friday that Russia had sent tanks and other heavy weapons to separatists in Ukraine, supporting accusations Thursday by the Ukrainian government.

A convoy of three T-64 tanks, several BM-21 multiple rocket launchers and other military vehicles crossed the border near the Ukrainian town of Snizhne, State Department officials said. The Ukrainian Army reported Friday that it had destroyed two of the tanks and several other vehicles in the convoy.

“This is unacceptable,” said Marie Harf, the deputy State Department spokeswoman. “A failure by Russia to de-escalate this situation will lead to additional costs.”

Overnight Friday, separatists using antiaircraft and heavy machine guns fired on a military transport plane as it was landing in Luhansk, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said. It did not give details of casualties, but offered condolences to family members of the victims. News reports said the plane was carrying as many as 49 military personnel.

Earlier, a Western official said that intelligence about the movement of the tanks and other weapons into Ukraine was shared on Friday with NATO allies. Secretary of State John Kerry complained this week about the flow of Russian arms to separatists in Ukraine in a phone call to Sergey V. Lavrov, the Russian foreign minister.

The spokesman for President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia, Dmitry S. Peskov, said Friday that a Ukrainian armored personnel carrier had crossed into Russia for unclear reasons and was abandoned there. The Russian state news agency reported that the Russian border service said the occupants had then fled back to Ukraine

At the meeting of the Group of 7 nations last week, President Obama warned Mr. Putin that the West would impose “additional costs” on Russia if its provocations were to continue.

I am mystified how leftists get away with pretending that Russia is somehow aligned with conservatives.  There is no legitimate way to arrive at that correlation.  The Russian system has far more in common with the left in this nation.

Exactly. I've tried explaining that to Justin before but he insists if civil war were to ever break out here, Russia and Chiner would rush in to help the Right win. 

The Right wants America to be on top while the Left would be perfectly happy with the US taking a backseat to Russia and China on the world stage. Why would they help the side that wants to keep them in check?

I've been talking aboutthis point for years. Putin has a solid grasp of the dangers of wokeness and a commitment to traditional values, so there is some appeal from me there. I give him props for those things. The elite left think because we don’t hold them accountable for their hypocrisy the rest of the world doesn’t either. They get away at pointing fingers at the underclass of Americans for being immoral, but the rest  of the world doesn’t see it like that. They see right through them. After all, they pay them off and thus, they know. Hillary pointing fingers at any other world leader for social justice issues is a joke, especially to them. Never mind Biden, who had his family grabbing everything they could with two hands all around the world. At least Obama was smart enough to keep his payoffs  above board and on the home front. 40 million dollar book deals and Netflix deals don’t really move the needle.
