Walt Coleman inspected the balls pregame. 11 balls were found to be significantly deflated at halftime. So either Coleman didn't inspect properly or the Pats tampered with the balls. If the NFL just didn't vet the balls like they should have, I couldn't care less that Brady likes a soft ball. That's not cheating.

 

But tampering with balls after inspection.....which is the ongoing theory here.....isn't something that other teams do and it's blatant cheating.

It is my personal belief that the refs didn't really inspect the PSI before the game started and that they were underinflated at that time.

 

Is it really your contention that someone manually under inflated eleven game balls on the sidelines of a conference championship game without anyone noticing? Without anyone catching it on video or anything? Without some lowly ball boy cracking and admitting that he tampered with the footballs?

Ref says he inspected the balls before the game and they were legal.

 

Ball under control of the Cheatriots from then until half time.

 

11 of 12 ball at half time were 2 psi under legal limit. 12th was under, but not by that much.
