Huge proponent of grilled onions. Even if you don't like regular diced onions, which I find to be overdone. Once you grill them It's a whole different experience.

toppings- mustard, kraut, a little onion (raw or cooked). sometimes i will throw on bbq sauce (not with the other toppings). not a big fan of ketchup and will sub bbq for almost all applications for it.

It's kind of a running theme to be anti ketchup. There have been memes and hubbub made about it being a taboo now. I always put it on my dogs as a kid and even into adulthood I'd use both mustard and ketchup. I prefer chili, onions and cheese and rarely use ketchup anymore but it tastes fine.

I still put ketchup on a hotdog sometimes. Go-to at the little Costco food court is a polish dog with ketchup, mustard and raw onion.

 

Don't care for relish or sauerkraut.

I'm kinda partial to the Chicago dog, which I first had in... Little Rock for some reason. It's odd because I am generally not a fan of raw onions and I was meh on mustard. But we were in a hot dog place and I figured I'd try it. Quite tasty. I don't make hot dogs often at home but when I do, I'll gather up as many of the items as we have.

Early faux dogs were terrible, but these are decent. I make vegetarian beanie-weenies with them, and sometime eat them with ketchup, though mustard, relish and onions are also good

I like mustard better than ketchup. I will often use mustard by itself.

I never use ketchup by itself. Must be accompanied by mustard. Mix must be at least 60-40 mustard.

I also like Cholula sauce better than Franks, Louisiana hot sauce or Tabasco.

If you're eating a hot dog, chances are you aren't going to be concerned about all the sugar that's in ketchup.
