Yeah could happen , but I need him on a few teams so praying it doesn't happen and that he has another good game .

I don't think so. The dude is in shape and obviously has no wear and tear on him from all this rest.

He was pretty ghetto against tb and only got all that work because of them trying to sit on the lead and shorten the game...

If this week turns into the shootout I'm expecting it to then he may not get more than 15 or so carries and they may go for like 45 yards and maybe he catches 6 for 40 and a td or maybe they use spiller as the pass catching back.

I picked him up too and was thinking of using him but I'm just gonna roll with Ivory since I picked up Bryce also and that didn't work out with Lady name being re-signed to split carries with him...

Hightower may get to punch in a short td since last week he could have had a couple more but they decided to throw from inside the 5 which may be them telling us they would rather Drew get them into the end zone than the guy they are unsure of yet..

I can't believe I am starting him in my semifinal. I had him back in his Washington days and he burned my a$$. Some fools like me never learn I guess. Just like my French Bulldog that insists on going into my living room to destroy wrapped gifts. No matter how many barriers I put up she manages to break through them.

I have to choose between Hightower and Dennard Robinson. I'm assuming Yeldon will be inactive. Does anybody have any thoughts on who they like better?

With Rawls and Eiffert hurt, I'll be anxiously watching my opponent play Hightower and Watson on MNF.

Could be torture.

tennis, start Robinson. Unless Bortles turns back into a pumpkin, they'll move the ball on Atlanta.

PRO, I feel your Eiffert pains. I drafted Kelce mid-round and Eifert late. Aka I thought I had coverage. Now I live in a world where starting Kelce is a debate. He's on the 'sit em' list on a few sites. I thought long and hard about starting Asj. And now I have Heath Miller on my mind. Sad times at tight end.

Org. Topic: the saints will try to protect Drew and throw on Detroit. Still, Hightower is gonna be a totally acceptable rb2 type at worst. 15 carries 51 yards. Maybe 3 catches for who cares yards. The big question is the td. I think so but who really knows? I'm likely playing against him, so I tend to assume everyone is gonna score at least one td vs me.

It's leftover grief from a year where I went 2-11 because of a points against anomaly. I had like 100 more points against than the best team had points for. People with 200 less points for than me won enough to make the playoffs and finished in the cheese/bread/dough. Boo head to head.

Don't worry about Spiller. The saints don't so you shouldn't either. They'd put Trent Richardson on the field over him. Something has gone super wrong and they just don't like him it seems.

Same here, drafted Kelce then Eifert late, now Eifert has been ruled out for tomorrow and would like to sit Kelce as he's been crap. League is pretty deep and only Rudolph (vs Bears) and V. Davis (vs Pitt) were available. I'm actually leaning Davis, especially if Owen Daniels is out. Osweiler targeted him 9 times last week, and Pitt is pretty bad against the pass. With Denver O-Line horrible, he may have to get rid of the ball quick to the TE.

The thing that makes me want to risk dying on 'start Kelce hill'...Baltimore has only played one stable TE outside of Eifert early on. They've played Barnidge 2x. Uncle Gronk was fine against them both times. Aka I think the 'Baltimore stops tight ends' storyline is at least a bit skewed by who they've faced. And Eifert only got 3 targets in week 3 since AJ green went off that week...one was the 4th down where he got the ball, turned, and reached past the goalline. Someone knocked the ball out of his hand after all of that but the refs ruled the pass incomplete. And I made a sad face. I had started eiffert over SSS.

The problem may have more to do with KC than Baltimore. Kelce did nothing against Oakland and SD the last two weeks, not getting many targets. He's also nursing a groin injury, perhaps they are being cautious. Alex Smith doesn't exactly inspire confidence and Reed doesn't appear to use TE's very often. But then again, he doesn't use WR's either, so who knows.

BTW - I'm starting Hightower with confidence this week, basically because I have to (not exactly confidence)! :)

CJ Anderson, Foster going down, Abdullah, etc... has killed me this year and already started Gurley on Thursday, who did pretty good.

Ok, Denard Robinson is in. I wish I had benched Doug Martin so I could have played Hightower. At least he has a chance for some tds, which Martin never gets. Sigh!

Don't over think this. Detroit is bad, Saints generally play well offensively, someone has to run the ball, and there is great likelihood there will be goal line tds by a running back. Play Hightower with confidence and rest easy.

Hightower has fresh legs and Payton has zero point zero reason to limit him in any way. He's a solid RB1 option who I'm confidently rolling with after losing Ingram and Rawls in consecutive weeks. I wouldn't be surprised to see his receptions go up after a few weeks of practice as Hightower has proven in the past to be a full 3 down back with good blocking and receiving skills.

Color me bullish.

Oh man, I expect both those guys to kill it Monday night. Hope you have a big lead.

Hightower and shoelace should be good plays. You might even see a passing td from shoelace out of the wildcat

After Ivory laid an egg last night, I am not feeling it with Hightower. I may be so far behind by Monday night that, just a decent game from him won't save anyway.

If he were a 3 down back he would not be on the street. 3 down backs are not on the street.

I am down 6 and have Golden Tate. My opponent has Hightower. I think I am screwed!

Not necessarily. Don't forget, injuries to RB are pretty common these days, so Tim has to stay healthy. That is not a given.

I need Hightower to score 5 more points than Cooks tonight.

Standard league, looks good...PPR, could be tough.

I need Hightower and Cooks to outscore Watson by 3 in a PPR.

That TD taken away cost me the game, barring a miracle. What a mindless friggin' penalty.

Timmy versus JAC this week. Anyone have some insight? His value is tied to Brees's health so it'll suck if Brees is out this week.

Good point, I only need to start one RB, and planned on starting Hightower over Gurley, Murray and Abdulah. I'm going against Brees so hoping he was out...now I'm not so sure! lol Maybe Abdulah vs SF might be the play.

I don't like Timmy this week and here is why?

Brees might not play which will not open it up for the running game. Jax is very tough against the run. I believe they allow only 3.7 yds per carry. If you are in PPR he will get dump off passes but if in standard I don't see many points. Much like last week.

Murray has been a bum but this might be his time to shine.

I read somewhere that Woodhead's role wouldn't change with the Gordon injury, he would still be primarily used as the 3rd down, change of pace back. Not sure how much I believe that, and don't like Hightower's situation without Brees. In PPR leagues, I guess McCown (is that the Saints QB?) would do a lot of dump offs to Hightower perhaps.

EDIT: Matt Flynn or Garrett Grayson would start for Brees...YIKES.

I am benching Hightower, Lacy, and Ivory for L Murray. My other rb is Freeman.

Lacy= no way I trust Mcarthy.

Ivory= Has been good at home, might regret this one. But Powell looks better.

Hightower= NO defense sooo bad, Jax going up big and quick limits his carries, and if Brees is out, good luck with that.

It is a great point. I am lucky enough to have Karlos Williams starting now to go along with David Johnson in the Superbowl. Two rookies that I drafted as prospects in my keeper league are now the focal point of my team.

I would love to start Karlos, but Gillislee gives me pause. He has broke runs of 30, 19. and 60 the last 3 games, with two TD's. Some consider him just a change of pace back, and maybe that is how they will use him, but he weighs 220.

I hear ya. I am monitoring this and hope the Bills decide who will be the lead back. My other option is Jay Ajai and Hightower.

Is Hightower still startable if Brees is out?

he is less startable with brees out.

Agreed. He is definitely a better option when Brees can take the pressure off the running game and he still gets the little dump offs. If you relying on Hightower now, you are probably doing so because you don't have a ton of other options that are better than Hightower.
