Mike Honcho 5,415 Posted March 3, 2016 Romney implores: Bring down Trump "Here's what I know: Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud," Romney said. "His promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University. He's playing members of the American public for suckers: He gets a free ride to the White House, and all we get is a lousy hat." Romney said that "dishonesty is Donald Trump's hallmark," pointing to his "bullying, the greed, the showing off, the misogyny, the absurd third-grade theatrics." Romney lambasted Trump on foreign policy, casting him as "very, very not-smart" in his comments about allowing ISIS to take out Syria's leadership and for proposing the slaughter of the families of terrorists. "Mr. Trump is directing our anger for less-than-noble purposes. He creates scapegoats in Muslims and Mexican immigrants. He calls for the use of torture. He calls for the killing of innocent children and family members of terrorists. He cheers assaults on protestors," he said, adding that Trump would trample First Amendment protections. Romney also said Trump's remarks on CBS' "60 Minutes" on Syria and ISIS "has to go down as the most ridiculous and dangerous idea of the campaign season: Let ISIS take out Assad, he said, and then we can pick up the remnants." "Think about that: Let the most dangerous terror organization the world has ever known take over a country? This is recklessness in the extreme," Romney said. Romney even made an effort to pre-but Trump's response to his speech. "Watch, by the way, how he responds to our speech today. Will he talk about our policy differences, or will he respond with every low-road insult?" Romney said. He called on Trump to release his tax returns, predicting another "bombshell." "I predict that he doesn't give much of anything to our disabled, to our veterans," he said.

Mike Honcho 5,415 Posted March 3, 2016 Must be something in the air. Watch Ted Koppel shred Bill O’Reilly for making journalism “irrelevant” when it comes to Donald Trump “I’ve interviewed him a number of times,” O’Reilly said, and it’s “not an easy interview. How would you do it?” “You and I have talked about this general subject many times over the years,” Koppel said. “It’s irrelevant how I would do it.” “You know who made it irrelevant?” he asked. “You did. You have changed the television landscape over the past 20 years. You took it from being objective and dull to subjective and entertaining. And in this current climate, it doesn’t matter what the interviewer asks him — Mr. Trump is gonna say whatever he wants to say, as outrageous as it may be.” A stunned O’Reilly repeated the question, to which Koppel replied, “the first way you do it is not in the interview — you do it by some reporting. It’s an old-fashioned concept but I think demonstrating who and what Mr. Trump is and what his policies really amount to is something you don’t do in an interview. He doesn’t answer the questions.” Koppel took this as an opportunity to light into Trump’s policies — or lack thereof. “When was the last time you have heard Donald Trump spell out a real policy on anything other than, ‘We’re gonna be the best, we’re gonna be the greatest, I’m gonna negotiate the best deals you’ve ever seen’?” “There is no substance in any of that,” he concluded, “and nobody among his followers seems to care about that.” Down goes O'Reilly! Can we please stop with the "But they do it too!" childish nonsense. I mean fock. Let's call this what it is. Angry White Guy is pissed that their party lost the last two elections and didn't obstruct Obama enough. They've been listening for 8 years of Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh rile and lather them all up to a frenzy. A Donald Trump comes along and pretends, yes pretends he'll be their savior and they fall for it hook line and sinker. Even though he's wildly unqualified, acts like a 3rd grader and just pitiful on all sorts of levels. It doesn't matter though because Angry White Guy is pissed. Its not childish, its a double standard. And the american people are seeing right through it. They got 8 years of GWB talking a big game and then doing the same business as usual. Then we got the flip side of 8 years of Barack talking a big game, and then doing the same business as usual. They are looking to vote for someone they believe will not do the same thing. No one is better than Trump at challenging Hillary on this. The establishment is unnerved that they don't control Trump. They send out their minions and their elite donors to counteract this and it just fuels his campaign. Never underestimate the ability of the republican party to implode themselves. They never fail to impress The republican party as we know it is dead. Its dead on their antiquated religious social platform, and they are dead on their unempathic fiscal platform. There is no going back, its over. As the republicans weaken, the democrats move farther left. They can choose to reestablish themselves towards the center or they can lose forever. KSB2424 3,173 Posted March 3, 2016 Ronald Reagan legalized abortion in California as Governer. 1. I'm not arguing the Abortion issue. I'm saying that out of all the people to call a RINO in this field, Donald would be top of the list. That's the point. 2. Reagan signed a Theruputic Abortion Bill that allowed abortions if there was something wrong. Like mentally of physically. He didn't just make Abortion legal in that sense. But like I said, that's not the point.

KSB2424 3,173 Posted March 3, 2016 Your point was that Trump flip flopped on abortion. No that is not my point. Lemme explain or expound. 1. If you take Donald Trump on his word (today), of how he feels about the issues (the little bit we do know) then he is a hardcore, far right Republican. Defund PP, Repeal Obamacare, tax plan is similar to other R's. He even goes further right than some other R's. i.e. a religious test for immigrants, no path to citizenship (amnesty) on and on. 2. If you don't take Donald at his word and think he is a centrist like DankNuggs is suggesting based on his old stances then A. He's a fraud because that's not what he's saying now and B. That means he IS the ultimate RINO. So which is it? You can't have it both ways. Is he a hardcore republican based on what he says today and his stances? Or is he really a "Centrist" and therefore a lying fraud in all the debates and town halls he's been doing the past six months. Which is it?

TD Ryan2 316 Posted March 3, 2016 What you speak is a defeatist attitude. perhaps - but it is the attitude that is propelling Trump - it's why so many don't "fear" the repercussions of a Trump Presidency... either it works or it doesn't - and it isn't working anyways, so who gives a fock if he's a fraud, all we've had is frauds anyways.
