if we can get others to sign up, or even four of us (Tigs/ Royals/ Tribe/ ChiSox) we could all agree to do something different; 1 a hat, 1 a shirt, 1 team paraphenlia and 1 something for a kid or the lady, and then we get three different things. Or three of us sign up for something, and then if the one who didn't sign up loses you just send whatever the winner had signed up for

Yes. Not a good week. Need Brantley back and healthy. Need Kluber back to form. The bullpen is killing us, along with the sporadic scoring issues. I think they've done extremely well, all things considered. Indians are a second half team. I'm thrilled they're not 10 games back already.

Speaking of Ichiro, I read an article about Sadaharu Oh and was shocked I've never heard of him. Dude had 868 homers for the most competitive league in Japan. Albeit it is Japan and I think there were only 8 teams. He won 9 MVPs and 11 titles though . Look at these stats, I don't care if he was playing slow-pitch in a beer league, these numbers are insane:

Career slash line of .301/.446/.634 . Some dude used analytics to estimate what he stats would have been in the majors, obviously a decent amount lower but he still was projected to hit 570 homers and would have been a first ballot HOFer. Back then it was basically illegal for someone in Japan to try to go to the MLB. It's a damn shame.

Also FSD put up a pretty crazy stat about Miggy. In his 8 seasons with Detroit, he has averaged .324, 34 HRs, 115 RBIs. Not ONE player from the AL has matched those numbers in a SINGLE SEASON over the same time span. Ya'll don't forget who the best hitter post-steroids is.
