nzoner 939 Posted June 13, 2016 Considering how he is pitching, KC probably caught a bad break only losing him for one. As a KC fan this kid is so frustrating,he starts yesterday and is absolutely dominating.

crackattack 520 Posted June 15, 2016 Any of the AL Central guys wanna do a hat or shirt challenge? I'm in with Cleveland. Simple rules. Whoever wins the central gets a hat or shirt from the others. Same as the ncaa challenge. Anyone?

crackattack 520 Posted June 15, 2016 It is a very safe location with a lot of other people around and as mentioned you do not have to stray far from the park. Good luck and have fun. You know anything about Andrew's on the corner, or McShanes Pub? Buddy I'm going with wants to go to one of these two places due to parking and bussing to the game. Tia. cmh6476 1,154 Posted June 15, 2016 also, I don't want tigers or Indians or white sox or twinkies sh!t (like the twinkies fan is dumb enough to participate), but think it would be cool to get some division champion or playoff crap, like a hat/ shirt/ something or other for the team you like. I'd get more mileage out of something like that then I would wearing your team's crap around
Cruzer 1,996 Posted June 15, 2016 Hot damn, we FINALLY beat the focking A's in Oakland. Gosh damn, they are annoying - our focking nemesis. We were 0-5 there before last night.

Cruzer 1,996 Posted June 16, 2016 Ichiro 21 hits away from 3,000 3,000 hits in 15 years. Unreal. When talking about fielding an "All Time Team" - he would be passed over.... I'd gladly let him fall to me and I'd be happy as hell having him lead off and playing Right.

Anyone? if we can get others to sign up, or even four of us (Tigs/ Royals/ Tribe/ ChiSox) we could all agree to do something different; 1 a hat, 1 a shirt, 1 team paraphenlia and 1 something for a kid or the lady, and then we get three different things. Or three of us sign up for something, and then if the one who didn't sign up loses you just send whatever the winner had signed up for

I know we have a Tigers fan that frequents this thread. I'd like to keep it at 4. One person for each of the teams you mentioned, because we know nobody is taking the Twins. I'd almost bet nobody is taking the Sox either. If it's just you and I, wanna do two items? Hat and shirt, or something along those lines. 50 dollar limit or something. I'm easy. crackattack 520 Posted June 16, 2016 Also, did you see your team try to play defense this week? Yes. Not a good week. Need Brantley back and healthy. Need Kluber back to form. The bullpen is killing us, along with the sporadic scoring issues. I think they've done extremely well, all things considered. Indians are a second half team. I'm thrilled they're not 10 games back already.

CantTouchThis 23 Posted June 16, 2016 Speaking of Ichiro, I read an article about Sadaharu Oh and was shocked I've never heard of him. Dude had 868 homers for the most competitive league in Japan. Albeit it is Japan and I think there were only 8 teams. He won 9 MVPs and 11 titles though . Look at these stats, I don't care if he was playing slow-pitch in a beer league, these numbers are insane: http://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.cgi?id=oh----000sad Career slash line of .301/.446/.634 . Some dude used analytics to estimate what he stats would have been in the majors, obviously a decent amount lower but he still was projected to hit 570 homers and would have been a first ballot HOFer. Back then it was basically illegal for someone in Japan to try to go to the MLB. It's a damn shame.
CantTouchThis 23 Posted June 16, 2016 You have the Indians, cmh has the Royals, so we just need a Sox guy? That might be hard to find, but they would be a decent bet for anyone looking to get in. They really might be the best team up and down in the division.

CantTouchThis 23 Posted June 16, 2016 Also FSD put up a pretty crazy stat about Miggy. In his 8 seasons with Detroit, he has averaged .324, 34 HRs, 115 RBIs. Not ONE player from the AL has matched those numbers in a SINGLE SEASON over the same time span. Ya'll don't forget who the best hitter post-steroids is. ZeroTolerance 584 Posted June 16, 2016 My favorite Colby Lewis moment is still watching a start he had in Baltimore. First three batters of the game: HR, HR, HR Next 18 batters: retired in order, 11 on strikeouts (almost all swinging) After that: HR, BB, HR, HBP

Cruzer 1,996 Posted June 17, 2016 Texas is rolling, 8 straight series won. But I am very concerned about Darvish, something is not right with his elbow or shoulder.. titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted June 19, 2016 Hmmm, let's see.......Ventura has a multi-year history of throwing at Machado, and has been suspended a few times for throwing at people period......throws at machado during the first at bat, so when machado knocks in a run he gives the little weasel some verbiage.....and then gets hit at the next at bat..... Sorry, not subscribing to your version. I could never play baseball. Some ass hole drills me with a 99 mph fastball to the ribs, I'm charging the mound, and the bat comes with me. Probably be the first time a pitcher got bludgeoned to death on the field.

Cruzer 1,996 Posted June 21, 2016 Desmond is making Fantasy guys happy campers. He's the best hitting outfielder in the American league right now - even hitting better than Trout...
