The Yankees can't hang with good teams. Time for Cashman to dump what he can. Beltran and Chapman could provide a nice haul. Gardner might help a good team too. Stuck with the rest, maybe Sabathia could gain some interest too, but won't bring back much.

Chapman is a huge carrot for sure.. Problem is, he's on a 1 year deal - and for $11m at that. Talk about a big hickey to take on as a rental - but I guess if you think he's the missing piece to win it all, worth it I guess. Be hard to pull the trigger though knowing you've got to give up prime prospects for a guy who might not resign next year........ From a functionality perspective - we'd love to have him and he'd fill a huge role.

No point in hanging onto them. Maybe could a little bidding war for Beltran and Chapman. I think the Cubs would buck up for Chapman, the Indians and Royals could use Beltran. I hope Texas jumps in on Chapman. They have the goods.

As a Indians fan, no way I'd want Beltran. I'd rather see them try and grab a good reliever. Maybe even a great closer like Chapman or Miller. No to a old, high contract outfielder. I just don't see Beltran improving the outfield/lineup enough to trade young talent.

Allen has been good after a rough start... Would you rather have someone to replace Shaw? Be cheaper to get a setup guy than a closer...

Yes. I'd much rather get a Chapman or Miller, then move shaw and Allen to the setup innings. Once/if Brantley gets back they should be fine. If they want another bat, I'd like to see them get help with a power hitting 3rd baseman.

Not with Napoli there. I agree he would be an upgrade, just not a big enough one to trade young guys. I guess it would depend on who the Indians would give up. I'd still like bullpen help, or a power hitting 3rd.

I know it won't happen, but a perfect fit imo would be Todd Frazier. 8 mill for this year and next...roughly. he'd be ideal for their playoff run. Or Chapman. Ether would make me happy.

I'm rooting for the tribe. Love that stadium and have had a lot of good times there. I hope they get Chapman and do well.

Something about a downtown baseball stadium that is off the chain. It's the one thing we don't have here that's missing. Well that and a WS. :(

Thanks for the clarification. I then agree they had to resume it.

It had been raining for several hours, they have to call it sooner. The conditions were sh1t.

They should never have stopped the game on te 9th. If everybody suffered that far, they can struggle through one more half inning.

They should never have resumed it at 2:30 am, after a three hour rain delay. Just call the focking thing.

Basically, the Umps did everything wrong.

If they delay it after completion of the 8th, then even called it 2 hours later - the Rangers have no beef. But Girardi should of made his argument before there was a runner on 1st, no outs and a 3-1 count to the batter - chicken shiat is the only way that comes out looking... Yes the refs blew it, but so did Girardi.

Agreed. The umps should have told him to eat sh1t and finish the game.

Nice inning Yanks. What year is it? Feels like 1989-1991. Embarrassing.

I didn't realize Miller is under control for a couple more years.. Wow, now he'd be worth burning thru a few prospects for.

A very small part of me wants the Yankees to lose the next couple of games, get to ten back and realize that they're not contenders by any reckoning. Ten they can start selling pieces and rebuilding.

Me too. Not good when Beltran leaves the game though.

Yanks fans - what's your take on the new stadium? Aesthetically it seems nice, but it for sure doesn't have the overpowering intimidation factor that the old one did. The old one we got off the bus just knowing we were prolly going to get smacked - this doesn't even seem like it's the home of the Yankees. I know the team is not near the power of the older ones, but it still doesn't have that same feel.

I lived in the old stadium. There was no place like it, even when they sucked. It was wild at times. Place rocked. Beer sucked, vendors and staff sucked, food was atrocious. The old bleacher creatures were hilarious. Lots of fights to keep you amused, they kept it to the upper decks. They spent a lot of money in the new one, they did not go cheap. But it has no baseball park feel. I'll put it this way: Fenway, Baltimore Citifield ect feel like the corner bar. Yankee stadium feels like a fancy ballroom. It was built with the high price ticket payers in mind. It just doesn't have it.

Butt hurt be Ise he knows the tiny window is closing for the mets. It's just a matter of time before the Yanks crack open the wallet and take back the town. Shame, all that pitching on the mets going to waste.

This is true , mets can't buy a hit much less a run. Pathetic.

That Rangers-Yankees game was a pitching clinic. Yankees pitchers struck out 16 batters and Texas was just about as good. A walk off win by NY on a passed ball; hits were hard to come by.

Pineda is Jekyll/Hyde. Frustrating because that arm is alive. 2 cent head.

This Fulmer kid is straight fire. First Tigers' starting pitcher to allow one or less runs in 8 straight starts since 1913.

In his past 8 starts, he is 6-1 with a 0.53ERA :shocking: . Forget ROY, he should be getting some CYA consideration at this point.

True, but he will have to continue to put up numbers to catch up to Sale, Salazar or Hamels...
