It's hard to believe that in this day and age people still have little town complex. I get why this childish nonsense occurs in college towns, but in the pros, still? I stopped voting in the early 90's . And I'm a Yankee fan, so that means I never voted for Jeter or Mariano. It's so stupid.

All I saw was salvy, cain and Hosmer leading their positions, which they probably should be...

Desmond is having a better year than Cain, and he's not even on the list.

If you are a fan of a small market team, you get sick of your team never getting covered. As a Titans fan, we never get any press. I remember the year we were like 11-0 or something, and nothing. Always the Cowboys and steelers and pats and Giants.

I guess, but I think winning is enough. I could care less if my team has a bunch of all stars. In 2001, the Yankees were coming off of their 3 WS win in a row, had won 4 of 5 WS and were in first place at the AS break. Had the biggest fan base I the country. Not one Yankee was elected to start in the AS game. I certainly wasn't going to waste my time voting for that junk.

Indians in first :pointstosky:

Every team, besides the Twins, can win that division. It's going to be a blood bath in September. I can't wait. Assuming my Tigers are right there, which, despite their awful bottom of the rotation, I think they will be.

Agree. Should make for a great September

Eta: any team besides KC. I liked watching KC, but their focking fan base has ruined it for me. Now I just want them to go back to mediocrity.

WTF?

I'm part of that fan base and have never been an A-hole about them winning.

The Royals are a notch below what they were last year. It just means they are on the level of the rest of the teams in the division.

The Tigers 1-6 is absurd right now. .315/.414/.307/.353/.256/.315. The only one under .300 is JD, and he's JD and will eventually start smashing everything. Them and Boston have the scariest lineups in the AL, with the Mariners and B-more right there. The AL is pretty much wide open.

Anyone notice that Logan Morrison very quietly has become a beast?

Alright, not all are insufferable a-holes. What pisses me off the most about KC fans is the All-Star voting. I know it's silly and petty, but it does. Focking vote right, a-holes!

.258 and 7hr shouldn't be considered a beast.

:dunno:

Eta: and 2 of his 7 hr came in yesterday's game.

He started the season slowly but if you look at the last 30 days which tells you what they are doing now he is hitting .374 with 7 homers, 2 doubles, 15 walks and 3sb. Not sure what your league numbers look like but that has him ranked behind only ortiz and miggy in mine the last 30 days. That comes on having the 5th most hits among first baseman during that time.

Those numbers seems pretty beastly to me especially considering he is only owned in 18% of yahoo leagues.

And that's great, but he's a .240ish lifetime hitter. I call it a hot streak. Let's see how much it continues, or if he can keep his production up before I like to call him a beast.

Just saw the fantasy baseball reference. Yes for FB he would be considered a beast for the last month.

DO NOT. I repeat. DO NOT feed the local wildlife. They may look like harmless ghetto trash but they in fact carry all kinds of diseases and .32s

It is a very safe location with a lot of other people around and as mentioned you do not have to stray far from the park. Good luck and have fun.

I never thought Banister would have the balls to bench Fat Fock - but he did. Profar has been unstoppable and Bani decided he just couldn't take him out of the lineup, even with Odor's return... Seattle is glad to be getting the hell out of town - had enuff of this Texas team.

I just went on Saturday. Pregame at any of the bars within walking distance of the stadium (Bookies, Cheli's, etc) or at Nemo's and take their shuttle. Advice on restaurants would vary depending on what you were looking for.

I do Nemo's and the shuttle. It is way safer and the bus ride is fun.

The Astros are prolly still vomiting this morning.... Rangers with a walk off on them last night - 7 wins in a row against Houston now, they've not beat us yet this year.

Dude. Odor is a beast. They should have made him a bigger offer this offseason to lock him up.

He totally is.. Crazy thing is, this time last year - he was completely lost and flat out terrible... In fact he got sent back down for a spell....... But soon as he can back up - he's been unstoppable.

Odor is "technically" under team control thru 2020 - so the urgency isn't as dire as it appears. He's making (basically) league minimum this year, talk about a bargain... I think the powers that be are a little gun shy based on the bad deal we extended Elvis to - but something will be done... Worse case scenario - we deal Odor and Profar moves into 2nd... But anyone watching this team right now knows - Odor isn't going anywhere.

You assume that Profar will continue to hit. I am not that sure.

That is an unknown for sure... Then again, how do we know Odor will either? Like I said, not even a year ago he was so bad he got sent back down.

Baseball's two biggest b*tches throwing down. Ventura throws inside. Machado responds by talking sh*t after flying out. Ventura hits him next AB. Nice pair of clown shoes there.
