posty 2,848 Posted May 16, 2016 Bautista deserved it. It was a dirty slide that resulted in a double play due to runner interference. When the suspensions come down that should be included. Honestly, that really wasn't that dirty of a slide... He started his slide late, but went over the bag... I know under the new pathetic slide rule because he started late it is "bad", but I don't have a problem with this one in general and I can't stand Bautista... But Odor should get nailed with at least a two-week suspension that would be reduced to maybe a week...

Yeah, definitely something to be a b*tch about. Bautista tried to take a guy out and got his ass handed to him. Naturally Prince just laughed when Sanchez 'retaliated' with a pitch to his massive leg.

Yeah, definitely something to be a b*tch about. If by breaking ball, you mean it broke up and in at 90+ MPH, then yeah.... Clearly intentional Bautista's still a biotch though
Cruzer 1,996 Posted May 17, 2016 Prospective from a Rangers fan: * Hell yes Bush beamed Joey Biatch'tista intentionally. * Biatch'tista should of taken it for what it was - retaliation, and left it at that - all square. * It was an illegal slide, not sure it was totally dirty. Odor has used the same slide himself on occasion. * Odor should of left it alone, like I said - he's done it himself. * Odor will, and should, prolly get 7 to 10 games. I expect Joey will get about 4, Gibbons has at least 1 game coming and Donaldson and a couple others might see a game too. * Never seen anyone more happy to be restrained that Joey Biatch'tista. Beltre had him by the balls for sure, but it was as if Joey was clutching him hoping he wouldn't let go. lol I heard Gibbons got tossed last night too in Tampa. hoytdwow 202 Posted May 17, 2016 I heard Gibbons got tossed last night too in Tampa. Gibbons is a real hot head. He got tossed from a game against Boston (the other time this year that bitchtista slid dirty then tried to trip Pedroia)
patweisers44 872 Posted May 17, 2016 Generally speaking, baseball players are a bunch of pvssies. Let 'em fight. The vast majority of them don't act tough until there is a wall of people between them and their "Target" Texas was BS because they waited till his last at-bat of the series to plunk him Bautista's slide was late, but I have no problem if he slid hard at him and took him out...but he's gotta do a better job of doing that legally. Odor didn't want his legs attacked, but had to know it could be coming based on circumstances. If I am Toronto I do the same thing. Bring in my hardest throwing, most expendable pitcher and have him give Fielder or whoever one right in the ribs.

The vast majority of them don't act tough until there is a wall of people between them and their "Target" Reminding me of Methmouth Jared Weaver. Throws a fastball over Avila's head as 'retaliation' for getting shown up, gets tossed, walks all the way into the dugout then starts the "hold me back guys or I'll go out there and kill someone, I swear!" routine. If Bitchtista wanted to fight, he should've charged the mound, not acted like a poosay with a dirty slide in to 2nd. Bautista wasn't about to charge at a guy with prison experience.

kilroy69 1,271 Posted May 18, 2016 The rangers should call up Rougned Odor's brother Rougned Odor for his suspension. They have him in their farm system. Kinda like a you to MLB

This is my argument to all those saying the Rangers pulled a chicken shiat move waiting until Joey's last at-bat of the year against us to plunk him. If you're gunna call out the Rangers, you have to call out Joey Biatch too.

edjr 7,031 Posted May 18, 2016 Love it that Odor punched him in his face, try cheating again focko.....lol you hate cheating so much, why haven't I seen you call out the Ravens for cheating? Source: NFL to investigate Ravens for using full pads with rookies The Baltimore Ravens will be investigated for using full pads at a recent rookie minicamp, which is a violation of the collective bargaining agreement, a league source said. A Ravens official said the team is unaware of any investigation but explained there was a five-minute period on May 6 when rookies and first-year players suited up in pads during a non-contact punt protection drill. The team believed rookie minicamp didn't fall under the same rules as the organized team activities and immediately pulled players off the field once it received clarification from players' union representative Benjamin Watson, according to a Ravens official. Teams are not allowed to suit up in full pads until training camp. Offseason rules have become more strict since 2011, when the latest CBA was passed. For an investigation to begin, a player has to report a violation to the union or league. A Ravens official said everything can be verified because all practices were taped. In 2010, the Ravens were disciplined by the NFL after six players complained to the players' union about late meetings and two others reported being held too long on the field after practice. Baltimore had to cancel the final week of offseason workouts. I must have missed you railing against those dirty cheaters (again)

I must have missed you railing against those dirty cheaters (again) If they cheated then I hope they are held accountable, not much to say, its not about who did the cheating, its about what was done, trying to pretend that I absolve a team because I root for them equates me to your level, and that is not the case. I leave the justification of cheating to New England fans.
Willis McGahee's Dentist 61 Posted May 18, 2016 If you can't knock a guy down with a bare fist, when you hit him clean, directly in the jaw, you are a gigantic fairy That was the best punch in the history of the league. The punch glazed his eyes and buckled his knees. If it were a boxing match, the ref would have most-likely stepped in and stopped it, just like Beltre did. If not, the next punch would have put him down. He was out on his feet.

Either Odor stinks at punching, or Bats has a stone chin. You act as if Joey just stood there and laughed.. That punch buckled his knees, turned his entire body to jelly and sent him cross eyed - not exactly easy to do when you're pretty ripped at 6' and 205 lb... I'm sure you'd still be on the ground if Odor's fairy punch landed on your jaw like that.

Because Ryan was an old man and -slapped Ventura a bunch of times. But all of those punches together weren't as hard as Odor's.

vuduchile 1,947 Posted May 18, 2016 The punch looked good on video, but it really wasn't landed squarely on the chin. It might have been a knock out blow if it wasn't so high on the cheek/jaw. It truly is a game of inches.
RaiderHaters Revenge 4,579 Posted May 18, 2016 I don't have a horse in this race, but don't understand why Odor was suspended 8 games while Bautista only 1 sure he landed a punch, but hes being punished for simply being quicker than Bautista, who clearly was loading up for a punch as well the punishment should be the same, and based off the fight, not how skilled the players are at fighting
