Bautista deserved it. It was a dirty slide that resulted in a double play due to runner interference. When the suspensions come down that should be included.

Honestly, that really wasn't that dirty of a slide... He started his slide late, but went over the bag... I know under the new pathetic slide rule because he started late it is "bad", but I don't have a problem with this one in general and I can't stand Bautista...

 

But Odor should get nailed with at least a two-week suspension that would be reduced to maybe a week...

* Hell yes Bush beamed Joey Biatch'tista intentionally.

* Biatch'tista should of taken it for what it was - retaliation, and left it at that - all square.

* It was an illegal slide, not sure it was totally dirty. Odor has used the same slide himself on occasion.

* Odor should of left it alone, like I said - he's done it himself.

* Odor will, and should, prolly get 7 to 10 games. I expect Joey will get about 4, Gibbons has at least 1 game coming and Donaldson and a couple others might see a game too.

* Never seen anyone more happy to be restrained that Joey Biatch'tista. Beltre had him by the balls for sure, but it was as if Joey was clutching him hoping he wouldn't let go. lol

The Baltimore Ravens will be investigated for using full pads at a recent rookie minicamp, which is a violation of the collective bargaining agreement, a league source said.

A Ravens official said the team is unaware of any investigation but explained there was a five-minute period on May 6 when rookies and first-year players suited up in pads during a non-contact punt protection drill. The team believed rookie minicamp didn't fall under the same rules as the organized team activities and immediately pulled players off the field once it received clarification from players' union representative Benjamin Watson, according to a Ravens official.

Teams are not allowed to suit up in full pads until training camp. Offseason rules have become more strict since 2011, when the latest CBA was passed.

For an investigation to begin, a player has to report a violation to the union or league. A Ravens official said everything can be verified because all practices were taped.

In 2010, the Ravens were disciplined by the NFL after six players complained to the players' union about late meetings and two others reported being held too long on the field after practice. Baltimore had to cancel the final week of offseason workouts.

The punch looked good on video, but it really wasn't landed squarely on the chin. It might have been a knock out blow if it wasn't so high on the cheek/jaw.
