All Star game was unwatchable. Joe Buck, who is already terrible, was acting like a 14-year old every time something happened. He was all, "Wow!" whenever someone hit a hard foul somewhere. Pretty sure he also said every player was one of the best to ever play the game. He saved most of his saliva for Mike Trout's ballsac

Red Sox trade touted prospect Anderson Espinoza for Drew Pomeranz (who has already topped his career high in MLB innings pitched...at 102). Welcome to the Dave Dombrowski Experience, Sox fans!

Shame that Michael Fulmer won't get enough innings to contend for the AL Cy Young. Since he started using his changeup after a few rough starts...

64.2 IP, 6 ER, 34 H, 55K, 19 BB in the last 10 starts entering tonight.

And I jinxed him, naturally. First game in two months giving up 2 ER or more.

Mike Piazza, #LGM

Agreed. Awesome acceptance speech. Long but awesome.

He is awesome human being.

Piazza should of charged the mound and beat Clemens' ass for the bat incident. I would of donated for his defense fund.

Just coming here to post the exact same thing WTF. I know he always "made it interesting" so really had to happen sooner or later. I mean he's not exactly lights out.

We're actually going to try and make a run at this thing!

MARLINS

OFFICIAL: We’ve acquired RHPs Andrew Cashner, Colin Rea, Tayron Guerrero and cash considerations from the San Diego Padres in exchange for RHPs Jarred Cosart and Carter Capps, as well as prospects Josh Naylor and Luis Castillo.

Well, the Indians are making a run at it. They completed a trade for Lucroy, who promptly exercised his veto rights.

Cleveland then traded for Andrew Miller. As a Yankee fan, I'm sorry to see him go, moreso then Chapman (as Miller has two more reasonably priced years).

However, it's become abundantly clear that the Yankees aren't doing anything this year, so they're restocking their farm system. Adding in the 7 prospects from these two trades to go with their own prospects and suddenly, the Yankees look set up nicely in the future. With Tex coming off the books this year and Arod and CC this next year, they'll get younger and cheaper.

I jut hope that Beltran, Nova and others can get moved for some decent prospects.

I can understand the Indians not wanting to drop the 2017 option for Lucroy...but they also wouldn't guarantee him the starting job next year. Yeah, can't go and give the .300 hitting all-star catcher the position when you still have a .160 hitting catcher on the team!

Second finger injury this month for Trevor Story which will likely keep him out a few days. (again)

Ah well. It wouldn't be a good read if the protagonist didn't have any adversity to overcome.

I was hoping Lucroy to Mets

Bet you dollars to donuts Chapman signs with NYY in offseason.

Oh yeah, the Yankees said they were setting the price on Miller incredibly high and if nobody met it, they'd just keep him. He's under contract two more seasons and if they really wanted to trade him, they could still do it this offseason.

Well, Yankee farm system re-stocked, finally, and like big blue said, all that money coming off the books. See you in a couple of years. And those teams with young superstars better lock them up, because the checkbook will be open soon . Looking at you, Washington.

Apparently Lucroy not an Indian and still available.

Why does Milwaukee want to move him so bad with a favorable contract next year ?
