My favorite player throwing right over the plate again and again loses his cool. Another loss too.

Somehow someway I ended up snagging Duval off my waiver's. Some dude dropped him for mazra. While mazra is doing good to drop someone on pace for 40 plus Homers and 100 plus rbi is silly.

Baseball's two biggest b*tches throwing down. Ventura throws inside. Machado responds by talking sh*t after flying out. Ventura hits him next AB. Nice pair of clown shoes there.

Except for the Odor punch against Bautista these baseball players today look like a bunch of girls fighting.

Hmmm, let's see.......Ventura has a multi-year history of throwing at Machado, and has been suspended a few times for throwing at people period......throws at machado during the first at bat, so when machado knocks in a run he gives the little weasel some verbiage.....and then gets hit at the next at bat.....

Astros fans and the players have to be on suicide watch. I'm not sure how they're maintaining their sanity. Another late inning loss to my Rangers, 8-0 for the season, have yet to win one yet.

Astros fans aren't bad, they've come to the realization that their team just isn't that good. Rode a hot start last year into the playoffs, this is who they are.

Hinch gets a lot of praise and props - but I think he's cost the Stros a few wins against us this year.... Like last night - I would of never let Keuchel go out for the 8th. I also would of stuck with the squeeze bunt after he had just 1 strike. I also would of possibly bunted a few more times during the series in other games, as well as last night.

Which part off my 'version' do you disagree with? The part where Machado chirped at Ventura the previous at bat? Or the part where I called them both punk bitches? The first was on video, the second...you can't possibly be arguing that only Ventura has a history of being an immature, hot-headed little sh*t. Or perhaps you assumed that by pointing them both out as colossal jokes I was somehow condoning Ventura's actions.

Throwing a 99 mph pitch into someones ribs on purpose should be counted as an assault. At the least it should mean that KCs best player gets his ribs broken by a fastball. It is funny how Ventura went from a rising star to a giant douchenozzle in a flash.

Ventura is a POS punk, nothing more , nothing less. MLB network showed a history of his events and there were a few that I hadn't even heard about before, including an incident where Trout ripped a liner up the middle and Ventura jawed at him to the point that Trout got in his face after he scored....ventura was backing up home.

That they are both b!tches.....while still allowing that pretty much all baseball players behave like 12 year old girls when they don't like something, I think Machado was justified in barking at the guy for yet again throwing at him, and then after getting hit again having a go.

Hell, baseball fights are about the only entertaining thing that every actually happens on a baseball field.

Not defending Ventura - he for sure is a pr1ck.... But I wonder if we're saying the same things if this is Bob Gibson doing it. :dunno:

Different era. One was a guy throwing at people when it was an accepted part of the game. The other is a guy throwing at people because he is a moody little c*nt.

Ventura threw high and tight 2 times before he finally beaned him, I am surprised with his history he wasn't immediately warned after the 2nd one. And I expect Machado to say something back to him after the sac fly, and after the rbi double, every player in the game would do the same

Of course I didn't see much of Gibson, but from what I know, his intention of throwing inside was to move guys back. Not to injure. A lot of hitters had begun to crowd the plate at that time.

It is a very safe location with a lot of other people around and as mentioned you do not have to stray far from the park. Good luck and have fun.

Well, you don't want to go north, or NW, of the stadium, but all other directions are fine. I'd say to anyone not familiar with the area to stick to Greektown. The park is right there, and there are plenty of restaurants and fun bars, along with the casino. Level 2 and Shillelagh are my favorite bars, but the previously mentioned Cheli's is right there and a fun place. Nemo's is a ways away.

Last time I was down a couple weeks ago, I was waiting for a friend to get out of work at Wayne State, so I parked near the campus and just walked all the way down John R, which dead ends at Comerica. I thought I was going to walk through the neighborhoods I was use to growing up around this area. It was actually really nice(in an artsy type of way, there was still a lot of plight, obviously), I never felt in danger and there was A LOT of renovation happening. I ended up watching BP for about 20 minutes and saw Miggy hit about 30 balls. That was incredible. He hit a few that had to of gone about 480', and this was right before he got red hot and started crushing everything.

Totally different... Pitchers were hitting during most of Gibson's career, so if one threw at somebody, the pitcher would sure be looking at getting one in his back when they came back up...

True.. Plus like others said earlier - those guys were sending messages, not trying to maim somebody.

Was taking a look at our blown saves - I was thinking our 7 was really high, prolly leading the league.. Then I looked it up - holy fock, not even close. Damn near everyone in the AL is blowing saves all over the place. The White Sox have 10? Wow.

I agree with this. The Oriole guy has to drop the bat, while the pitcher gets to throw a ball. Muchado should be able to get one shot in with the weapon he is holding since the other doosh already got his shot in.

Also, anyone who comes off the bench should be tossed and suspended for the next 2 games without pay. And, when benches clear, all should be thrown out of the game and the game called. 8,000 paying customers would help put an end to that.

Yeah but the blown save is misleading...

You could have a reliever come in in a 2-1 game in the sixth inning and give up a run and they will get a blown save...

Stros finally get one on us.. Props to Fiester - he was really good last night.

Darvish and Beltre both left the game early with minor concerns... Darvish had tightness in his shoulder - said he's not worried about it. Beltre - hammy, seems he gets this at least once a year.

Great clip here and Reggie says it best,"Gibson had earned the respect" even as a KC fan I can easily say ventura hasn't earned sh!t although I still believe Machado had that coming to him.

Just 9 games for Ventura. Brilliant call there, MLB.

9 games actually seems like a lot considering they gave odor 8 for landing a solid shot to joey bats face. They don't usually suspend pitchers for that long. Although for pitchers it should be 9 starts as they are not being used every day so them being suspended during their off days not really count as a punishment.

Doesn't seem like a lot at all considering Ventura not only intended to injure Machado, he did it with a foreign object - basically a weapon.... Odor was simply reacting to the play, used his fist and was just trying to land a punch.

Agreed though - he should have been 9 starts, not games.

9 games for a pitcher = one start once you play the "appeal, then drop the appeal on a specific day" game. 10 games would have been two turns through the rotation, so two actual starts.

Considering how he is pitching, KC probably caught a bad break only losing him for one.
