Meglamaniac 452 Posted June 15, 2016 Looking at maybe doing a Sunday menu based on the Jags opponent each game day and while some are obvious, others are not so looking for some ideas for the City/teams that I don't really have a feel for what is customary food for that area. Packers- Brauts/sausage and some cheese heavy sides Charges-???? Ravens- Crab cakes, soft shell crabs Colts-??????? Bears- Italian beef, deep dish pizza Raiders-?????? Titans-???? Chiefs- Spares/Pulled Pork using Gates rub/sauces Houston- Smoked Brisket Lions-????? Bills- Buffalo Wings Broncos-???????? Vikings-????? How about some ideas for the GC

crackattack 520 Posted June 15, 2016 Why do they call that a pork tenderloin sandwich?? Idk. My guess is it's pork loin and it's pounded thin/tenderized, then breaded and fried. Hence tender loin. I have no clue. Just guessing.

When you first posted it I was thinking 'why in the world would you fry pork tenderloin', not realizing it was actually just a pork loin, I may have to give this a test run preseason. Megla - from a butcher's perspective, if you tell me it's a pork tenderloin sandwich, I'm expecting tenderloin - not pork loin. Why are you more likely to fry pork loin than pork tenderloin? Why are you more likely to fry pork loin than pork tenderloin? You're saying exactly what I'm saying, some posted 'fried pork tenderloin sandwich' and I thought to myself why would anyone fry tenderloin, then they pointed out that meat is actually pork loin hammered thin. Why are you more likely to fry pork loin than pork tenderloin? Pork tenderloin is very fragile/lean and would not hold up well to frying much less pounding it out, its meant to be cooked fast at high heat like a good steak.
