I have not read all of this but I have some questions. 

Say I was thinking of buying $500/month in bitcoin going forward.

1 Is this a good idea or have I missed the boat?  

2. How would I do this if I wanted to?  I assume it is like opening an e*-trade account.

3. Who here is actually doing that now? (I guess I need to read through the last 50 pages)

You could use an account like Coinbase Pro and set up a purchase plan.  You can buy daily or whatever.  I buy on my own and try to buy when it's low.  The last time I bought any it was at $29,000.

1. It's a great idea and no you haven't missed the boat. It's more like the start of the second inning.

2. There are a few sites out there Like Binance.us, Celsius, Kraken, Gemini. Please don't use coinbase. Literally the worst. IF you would like an affiliate link where we both get like $20 in BTC send me a PM.

3. I'm buying every week, but I'm not starting from scratch like you. I have a substantial amount of crypto.

I would recommend a portfolio of 60% BTC, 30% ETH, 10% Other coins.

I’m using webull but hate it so far. I like Coinbase though it seems to have the easiest interface plus some good freebies and a lot of crypto avail

It depends on what you want to do, your bank etc...

Binance is good to buy most coin.

Celcius is best for earning APY on BTC and ETH

Crypto.com is best for earning interest on alt coins. It also has a slick interface

Kraken has great DOT staking rewards.

Gemini is super easy to use but doesn't have a lot of coins. I also think they have higher fees.

With Webull you don't own the crypto. You can't move your BTC to other accounts. But it is easy to use.

I only have Webull for stock options. My problem with Webull is there isn’t a nice portfolio page like Coinbase and Robin Hood. I have to search around for my positions

Thanks I am going to try this.  I really appreciate it.  I was talking to my wife about it and she said I am already mining now the bits just come in a different form.

When I sold my 25k bitcoin (BC was at 39) a couple/few weeks back, I bought 20 BC Cash @ 380 and (a few litecoin) and  put the rest in stonks. That is all I have of crypto right now
