titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted July 9, 2017 Who are the guys who suck so hard, you don't even want to see the movie? For me... Keanu Reeves: This guy cannot act. At all. The Matrix might unseat Star Wars for GOAT science fiction if ANYONE else was the star. And that was his best acting work. Vin Diesel - If I carved a human head out of a potato, and gave it brain damage, Vin Diesel is what you would get. Kevin Costner - He's been in a few good ones. But he's done some horrible clunkers too. He is the example to me of a bad actor who got lucky and got a couple of great roles. Tim Robbins - Same thing here. If he hadn't lucked into the lead of Shawshank, he would be number one on this list. This next one is borderline blasphemy I know... but Sylvester Stallone sucks. Sorry. Woody Allen - This guy is terrible. His movies are pretty much unwatchable to me. Jimmy Stewart - I know it was another time. But holy over acting batman! wiffleball 4,797 Posted July 9, 2017 I would agree with you on Jimmy Stewart. I've felt that way for a LOOOONG time. - Back when it was blasphemy. As an actor, yeah, Woody Allen ain't great. He's kind of like Louis CK. Fine at playing who he is, but that's not acting. Both are much better as writers. (Speaking of which - meaning to do a thread on "Better Things" - great show - Lead chick is sneaky-real hot, Louis CK show) Keanu is working his way back. I hated that guys' 'acting' for a long time. But, he stays in his lane and plays what he knows. He was fine in The Replacements as well as John Wick. Personally, I hate The Matrix. But then again, I'm not a 12 year old boy. Agree too on Tim Robbins. The World Only Needs one Vin Diesel - and we have one - He's called 'The Rock'. Adding: I'm totally focking done with Sam Jackson. Every movie, he's one thing: The Screaming, Over-Enunciating Negro. It's annoying, off-putting and played the holy flock OUT. Just to stay hip and current - A newcomer to that list has to be James Franco.
Drizzay 758 Posted July 9, 2017 Tom cruise, Nick Cage and Jack Nicholson top the list for me.

peenie 2,005 Posted July 9, 2017 tom cruise was good in interview with a vampire. nick was good in raising arizona. jack nicholson....seriously? something about schmidt the witches of eastwick one flew over the cuckoos nest the shining i've never seen the whole movie but that line, "you can't handle the truth" was iconic keanu reeves was just a beautiful man and really didn't need to do much but stand there and display his good looks. he was great in speed good in point break never saw those bill and ted movies, i assume they were mildly good he was good enough in the matrix, a film i loved (matrix 2 and 3 sucked no matter who was in the starring role)

Bier Meister 1,774 Posted July 9, 2017 I don't think any of Nicholson's characters are similar Same with Pitt. jack often has a touch of crazy in his role/acting pitt is often a little dumb, has flat affect, and slow reacting. seems like he struggles through his lines
Vince44 208 Posted July 9, 2017 Kevin Costner tops my list of most overrated. I have been either bored or indifferent by his acting and all of his movies with the exception of a few. I feel like he has a serious lack of charisma and when he attempts to be more energetic it comes off forced. I think my biggest problem with him is he comes off smug and arrogant onscreen regardless of the character he is playing.
posty 2,849 Posted July 10, 2017 Will Farrell Adam Sandler
Thornton Melon 653 Posted July 10, 2017 I don't consider Keanu Reeves to be overrated because I thought he was universally considered to be a terrible actor. You have to be "rated" first to be overrated.
patweisers44 872 Posted July 10, 2017 Costner has to be the top of the list for me as well. I think steve carrell the worst thing going today, unfunny beyond belief. Also receiving votes: Robin Williams Johnny Depp Vin Diesel Matt Damon Ben Affleck
Cruzer 1,996 Posted July 10, 2017 Jimmy Stewart - I know it was another time. But holy over acting batman! Omg - one of the greatest of all time (imo).. Of course I've seen a ton of his older stuff, but yea - I think he's greatness. Adam Sandler has to be the all time #1. Nobody has pillaged more money out of Hollywood, with the same goofy ass schtick, than this ass clown.
