TimmySmith 2,782 Posted July 30, 2017 I think CSNY qualifies as American. They met and formed in Laurel Canyon, and were a huge part of that California scene. They also wrote one of the great protest songs of the 60's (Ohio.) I'm fairly sure all of their albums were recorded in America.Agreed. They are American. Fleetwood Mac simply isn't. I understand the addition it Nicks and Buckingham made it more American but the Brits still outnumber them.
MDC 7,134 Posted July 30, 2017 So HT messaged me asking for someone to say the Romones? Weird. FFT is his primary social outlet. It must be killing him to only post as Baker Boy.
kutulu 1,659 Posted July 30, 2017 Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are a band and deserve consideration in this thread imo
giraldi02 474 Posted July 30, 2017 The peter Greene version was British. The Stevie nicks era I would call American. This. The additions of Buckingham and Nicks made it an American band imo. Besides, shouldn't we celebrate Brits that fled to America to start over?
