Kickboxer.

JCVD from 2008 was pretty good.

Jean-Claude Van Johnson is great!

He tries to do the patented split and can't because he's old

Check it out.

That's okay. This poll was geared towards dudes anyways. We all assume that women don't watch any of his movies.

This. My wife cant stand JCVD or most any male centric action stuff. A lot of people on this forum seemingly lived under a rock the for the entire 80s and 90s or just actively avoided all TV.

As much as I like Kickboxer as the classic "younger brother trains with old master to avenge brother" theme, you just can't beat Bloodsport for sheer campy martial arts entertainment. Even the bad guy from Tanatastic's avatar was schmaltzy.

Bloodsport, love that sh!t..

No Retreat, No Surrender.. :headbanger:

No Retreat, No Surrender was my favorite with JCVD as Ivan the Russian.

Many people on this forum were children and adolescents for most of the 80s and 90s. I remember seeing the one where he wraps his hands in tape and then dips them into broken glass before a fight. Bloodsport I think. Thats probably about the only one Ive seen.

I do remember his cameo on friends though.

Actually that was Kickboxer, not Bloodsport. Part of what made me consider Kickboxer.

Kid that my daughter knows is Iceberg the penguin. His dad was it before. The oldest guy playing a mascot in the NHL. He wasnt in the movie but he does have the costume from sudden death.

I was a child in the 80s, most here were older than that though. Also time is always irrelevant and a cop out when we discuss music, movies etc. I wasnt alive for the Beatles but I know all their songs...is that magic? You can have never watched an 80s movie til the year 2017 or never have seen a show from the 90s til last week and its not time travel.

Sure. But those werent considered such classics as to make an effort to find them years later.

I guess it was just common for me to watch tv and catch the 8 o clock movie or channel flip and see all these movies on TNT or TBS or any of the other networks. Its never that you have to seek them out, they are just, on.
