Voltaire 4,593 Posted February 16, 2018 I'm going to spend some more time listening in before I vote. As of right now it's between shotsup and Sux but may yet turn out to be somebody else as I familiarize myself with more of what they have.
RaiderHaters Revenge 3,661 Posted February 16, 2018 It was tough between Herbi and Mobb but I went Herbi cause Flaming Lips was such absolute garbage, where as Herbi's weakest sauce was Spin Doctors my rank Herbi, Mobb, Shots, ZT

Voltaire 4,593 Posted February 16, 2018 When does voting end? Maybe two days+. When the voting dies down and the thread falls down to the bottom third of the page, i give it a bump then when it falls a second time, I end it.
Herbivore 919 Posted February 16, 2018 It was tough between Herbi and Mobb but I went Herbi cause Flaming Lips was such absolute garbage, where as Herbi's weakest sauce was Spin Doctors my rank Herbi, Mobb, Shots, ZT I kind of took this philosophy when voting in the prelim. Most teams were pretty good, but if you had songs I hated you were out. I knew nearly all the songs except country, cause country sucks. Save Cash in general and Friends in Low Places in this draft. Cash in this draft was a forced pick. I had the Soundgarden version on my list, way better than the Cash version.

As of right now it's between shotsup and Sux but may yet turn out to be somebody else as I familiarize myself with more of what they have. I'm not sure if you have ever listened to Estranged, but if you haven't, I implore you to give it an honest shot. This goes out to everyone else here, too, ovbiously. It totally blows away November Rain. Same type of song, too. It's their ultimate gift to us as music fans that like their music, imo. Also, Eves Plumb - Blue is pretty addicting, as well. Voltaire 4,593 Posted February 16, 2018 I made it to the finals somehow? FOCK YEA FOR ME You hung on. Your bracket was an absolute brutal six-way slugfest. Voting was 6-5-4-4-3-3, you were the five. Who voted for: SUXBNME SUXBNME, Voltaire, Jetdoc, kutulu, paulinstl ------ Blue bracket had a tie for second so I took three from them which is why we have seven finals participants instead of six. LOD01 195 Posted February 16, 2018 Jerryskids had the most songs that I like so he gets the vote Enter Sandman, Plush, Black and Let Her Cry. However SUX has probably my favorite 90s song in EvenFlow.

nzoner 936 Posted February 16, 2018 Jerry's quote in the 90's draft thread,"As a fan of musical complexities, from the 90s on, there is Tool and everyone else." was almost a deciding factor on which way I voted as I strongly disagree. Then I got off my high horse and realized that all of these drafts for the most part are about mainstream/popular/music for the masses etc. songs and bands,So Jerry gets my vote especially for his fast start out of the gate. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying anything negative about Tool but Jerry if you're reading this and are truly a fan of musical complexities please check out the following bands from the 90's on,listed in my personal order of preference. Porcupine Tree/Steven Wilson Alias Eye RPWL Liquid Tension Experiment Iluvatar Spock's Beard Riverside Pendragon

mobb_deep 919 Posted February 16, 2018 Herbivore is the only team beside my own that I like the actual music, so went with him. jerrys team looks like it was copy and pasted from some website of the most mainstream generic 90s music. The only song Id actually listen to is 46 and 2. But, I cant hate too hard, as Ill be doing exactly that for the 60s draft. I know the stones, Beatles, doors and Zep and thats about it. jerryskids 5,415 Posted February 16, 2018 One thing about the 90s I kept meaning to mention... that appears to be the decade where every group tried to make artsy videos with 1+ minutes of acting at the beginning of the video before the music eventually started. I basically stopped clicking on official videos and went for live or lyrics instead.

jerryskids 5,415 Posted February 16, 2018 Easy to vote when you eliminate anyone that took Pearl Jam, U2 or REM songs... I had a U2 song (Mysterious Ways) and an REM song (Shiny Happy People) on my list. But IMO they are 80s bands that spilled over so I went in different directions. I generally tried to stay with 90s bands with the exception of Meat Loaf, but that was an outlier because he went 16 years between phenomenal albums.
