If we are going to talk conspiracy....the fearmongering caravan story seems designed to motivate Republicans to get to the polls. Coincides with the advertisements that show it...and coordinates with the decision to move troops to the border 5 days before the elections, so that they can fight off the people that could be here as soon a month from now.....and all of it comes with a Vote Republican or your family will be murdered.

If this is a paid for stunt, look off to your right.

What, no conspiracy theory that theyre organized by Trump et. al. to fire up the base?

ETA I see CBFalcon beat me to it :)

Now you can relate to what was going through the right wing heads when all the mail bombs were proving to be duds as Trump and the Republicans were having all the poll momentum to that point.

The difference is, I don’t really believe in conspiracy nonsense.

You just need a better conspiracy theory. Particularly, the JFK assassination conspiracy theory seems to have legs.

Do you think the JFK assasination was a one man job?

Don't know much about it, nor do I care.

You don't know much about an assasination of an American president that was filmed. Ok.

This one seems to be winding down and I suspect Mueller is holding onto it until after the elections so as to not look like Comey. In similar news, Im suspecting George R R Martin is holding off on releasing Winds of Winter until after the TV show ends, gimme a 50% chance on both.

No. Never saw the original footage in its entirety nor the feature film. Don’t recall learning about it in school either.

I got many, many classroom sessions on this and Watergate and the trade off was not covering the entire Ford, Carter, and early Reagan administration.

Never took a political science class, and don’t recall learning much about Watergate either. Certainly nothing about more recent presidents.

Basically, American history covered colonial times through WW2...and I took AP history to boot.

Not sure how this "caravan" thing arose, while I doubt it was "encouraged" from some outside source, I would never discount that completely. Our political system is mired with toddlers who will do just about anything to hurt the other side. Helping actual people is a distant second in their mind.

Trump and Republicans understand 2/3rds of ALL voters feel illegal immigration is an issue. It's not 'fear mongering' if you're addressing what the country is concerned with.

Why wouldn't Trump herald the historically low Hispanic unemployment stats from Pew? Or the Pew stats on historic wages being earned by Hispanics, isn't that message likely to generate more positive across the spectrum? It just makes me wonder what the hell they are thinking sometimes, the guy goes through all this trouble to actually make the economy better, but does not trot it out effectively...

There's 'Organizers' which tells you it is not just a bunch of people joining Forrest Gump on his run back and forth across America.

There are more Americans voting that care about immigration (lowering the number of illegal Hispanics and maybe they can't tell the difference) than there are voting that care about them making a living.

Perhaps....but it's such a "crossover" thing, the snowflakes on the leftists side are so eager to get after this kind of thing, it seems like a natural political "sell" to garner some middle of the road types. I dunno, I guess they know what they are doing, just does not makes sense to me

In the past three years I've learned to trust what Trump is doing as it keeps working.

There's a giant "X" In Dealey Plaza - At the EXACT spot that JFK was kilt.

I mean, if that isn't proof that the shooting was pre-planned... And the Secret Service driver didn't even think to drive around the X?

Shiit, I've seen the coyote do the exact same thing to the roadrunner. But the Roadrunner always ran around the X.

You wanted proof the Dems are helping fund the caravan? Here you go. Hiding donations from Beto Oroark as 'Halloween Events'.

Veritas seems really active lately, they might want to be careful, they might raise the ire of the Clintons, and that is an unsafe place to live...

What seems most likely to me is.....the caravan thing probably began naturally. With an election coming up, the Right then realized this was an opportunity to shift the narrative from Kavanaugh or abortion or even other topics like healthcare. Now we are talking about keeping the country safe from those terrorists and murderers walking north..........As for the "encouraging", once the story went mainstream, I can see both sides donating to the cause. Bleeding heart Libs are suckers for these type people leaving their scary sad lives, mixed in with the fact that they know Trump hates immigrants. Right wingers see the value in keeping these people moving closer and closer so that they can play up the danger.

Trump and Republicans understand 2/3rds of ALL voters feel illegal immigration is an issue. It's not 'fear mongering' if you're addressing what the country is concerned with.

Half the country is deathly afraid of immigrants because their chosen media is telling them it is life or death danger. Similarly, you'd argue that the other half of the country is only concerned with Russia and Trump being evil because their chosen media is telling them it is life or death danger. Think about it and ask yourself what that means.

There's 'Organizers' which tells you it is not just a bunch of people joining Forrest Gump on his run back and forth across America.

Well, I've seen it argued here and by Trump that Dems organized this because they want these people to vote on Tuesday, or because they want a confrontation between the military and the caravan in hopes of it driving voters to the Left. So for any of those claims to make sense, the caravan needs to get to the border by Tuesday. If that somehow happens, I may come to your side on this. But as long as they aren't to the border by Tuesday, The Republicans are the ones benefiting.
