Like I said, that series of downs - cost Red his job.

The 9-plus-years-of-at-best-mediocre-coaching sure didn't help. (lifelong Boys fan)

I'm not blaming the refs for this loss, but they did play a major part. Here are the 2 phantom tripping calls......

Don't blame them for the loss. Blame them for not having  the opportunity to win.

you think we weren't watching?

2 absolutely HORRIBLE calls. 2 of the worst I have ever seen, in the same game too. No excuse.

The still couldn't score. That's why they lost.

Patriot fans should stay out of this. It's the rest of us without a dog in the fight who have the proper outlook. It happens too often with refs determining how a game will unfold. Take wins and losses out of it. Half the fans and betters will be happy. The rest of us were robbed of a compelling game, which is why we tuned in. I didn't care who won.

They were as bad as any calls you have ever seen. As bad as the Saints call last year? No. That was a playoff game. But the refs not getting it right is the theme. The second tripping call just didn't happen. A figment of the refs imagination. For some reason he wanted to call it. Why? I don't know. But he did.

There have been 9 tripping calls all year.  2 happened in that game and there was at least 1 in the Seahawks/Eagles game.  My guess is that there was a memo sent to officials and that they were looking for tripping this week.

Probably so.

There might also have been a NE player or coach in the ref's ear during game complaining about the Cowboys tripping them or sticking their legs out.  Players and coaches are always jawing at the refs.  Maybe it got to them this time.

I simply don't know how you get tripping wrong.  Either you see a trip or you don't.  What happened yesterday isn't in the universe of tripping.  I doubt you'll see another tripping call all year.

Half of that is true. Garrett would not be welcomed by the fan base.

Now close your eyes and pretend the coaches could challenge all calls. Howdy Doody challenges both calls and loses 2 time outs and both challenges

You know how you know that's really bad ( besides the video proof) ? Brady didn't beg for the flag. Not that he's the only one that does it. It's the football equivalent of flopping in soccer.

Before I watched the video, I fully expected tommy to be jumping up and down screaming for a call.  The only thing that saves this is it wasn't 3rd down, it was 2nd and 7.

Even more brutal AFC Championship game and same play had happened earlier on Mahomes with no call, announcers even talk about it at end of video.

It would be nice if just one important NFL game could be completed without the refs jacking it up someone.

I don't recall anything from last years SuperBowl, off hand anyway. I am sure something happened.

 As a betting man I'm sure you can appreciate last night, final minute or so spread easily decided at 38-7 but wait the total was 48 and here come the flags to keep the Packer drive alive and keep those over/under bettors on the edge of their seats.

The refs robbed the customers of what would have been a great Super Bowl last year. Brees vs Brady. Instead we got Goff and one of the worst, boring Superbowls ever played.

can't remember last time I did an O/U bet.  Drives me crazy watching.

My last bet I got absolutely chokefocked.

I bet Baylor moneyline vs Oklahoma  - $100 to make $450

Baylor up 31 to 10 at half time, so I stopped watching.

Figure i'd check late in the game, tied 31 to 31, only to see Baylor not score another point and they lose 34 to 31

Picked a good one to skip. The blowouts are better than that crap last year.

check out this chit.....

then read a few of these.....

https://cowboyszone.com/threads/another-clip-of-refs-cheating-for-patriots.446564/

Two things:

1.  Nice editing.  If you look at where it is on the first time that it shows 2nd down, the line to gain was the 4.  Of course that is not identified at all.  Also, if 1st down was at the 15, then the Cowboys were cheating because the ball was well past that during the initial snap.

2.  More importantly, the official chains are on the other side (the Cowboys sideline).  The moving of the marker at the top of the screen has no bearing whatsoever on where the first down is.

But let's not let facts get in the way of a good conspiracy theory.

OK, I guess you're correct, but I've never seen the chains worked that way.
