Damn, after watching this game last night it seems that the Thanksgiving game was still part of Buffalo's "easy schedule to start the season".

Jerry is on a local talk show right now.

He's going on and on about his faith and belief in this team - bcoz he's seen them be good, seen them play great. He still believes bcoz he's seen them do it.

Uh yea Jerry - against the Giants, Redskins, Eagles, and Dolphins!!! :wall:

Isn’t there going to be a big difference between the draft picks for 1st and 2nd place in the division even if they have the same record?

The Urban Meyer rumor is really on fire today.

I don't love it.  I don't like the idea of any college coach taking over for Garrett.  I'd prefer someone with real NFL experience.  Which coordinators will be the best HC candidates be at the end of the season?

Would Jerry consider any of the coaching retreads that are / will be available?    After interviewing a minority candidate first, of course.

Aikman had some interesting comments this week about how the Cowboys aren’t run like other teams.

Jerry will likely be seeking another puppet.

Rumors have swirled of Josh McDaniels... Also talk of Tony Elliot - Clemson's co-offensive coordinator.

The real prize, according to some, is Lincoln Riley.

How about Jimmy Johnson?

I guess I’d be ok with Riley if he somehow brings Jalen with him.

What's pretty shocking is the high playoff success rate of teams that kinda back into the playoffs as division champs with 9 wins or less:

2016 Texans 9-7:  beat Raiders 27-14 at home, lost at Patriots 34-16.
2015 Texans 9-7:  lost at home to Chiefs 30-0.
2015 Redskins 9-7: lost at home to Packers 35-18.
2014 Panthers 7-8-1: beat Cardinals 27-16 at home, lost at Seahawks 31-17.
2013 Packers 8-7-1: lost at home to 49ers 23-20.
2011 Broncos 8-8: beat Steelers 29-23 at home, lost at Patriots 45-10.
2011 Giants 9-7: beat Falcons 24-2 at home, won at Packers 37-20, won at 49ers 20-17, won Super Bowl over Patriots 21-17.
2010 Seahawks 7-9: beat Saints at home 41-36, lost at Bears 35-24.
2008 Chargers 8-8: beat Colts 23-17 at home, lost at Steelers 35-24.
2008 Cardinals 9-7: beat Falcons at home 30-24, won at Panthers 33-13, beat Eagles at home 32-25, lost Super Bowl to Steelers 27-23.
2007 Buccanneers 9-7: lost at home to the Giants 24-14.
2006 Seahawks 9-7: beat Cowboys at home 21-20, lost at Bears 27-24.
2004 Seahawks 9-7: lost at home to Rams 27-20.
2002 Jets 9-7: beat Colts at home 41-0, lost at Raiders 30-10.

These teams are 9-4 in the wild card round.
They are 10-4 at home.
They are 4-8 away.
They are 14-12 overall.
Teams with a losing record as division champs are 2-2 in the playoffs.
Teams at 8-8 as division champs are 2-2 in the playoffs.
Teams at 9-7 as division champs are 10-6 in the playoffs.
14 teams qualified for this list.  Only 5 lost their first playoff game.

Was 72* and sunny here, played 27 - haven't seen the game yet.

Sounds like an impressive win - the Rams were hot and rolling.

And right on cue, homers are already back on the SB train. :D

Enjoy........it was a solid game, only Forbath & Bennett screwed up, and they still had good games.

How bout dem COWBOYS!

I've seen some gutless, uninspired efforts in my time - but that game y-day may be the worst I've ever seen. Jeebus that was pathetic.

Philly was w/out half their team - and with the highest paid line in football, with your all world ($90m) RB, with your soon to be $35m QB - and you can't do better than 9 pts???

VAYA CON DIOS Mr. Garrett - your ticket has been officially punched.

The good news for the Cowboys is that Chase Young won't be rushing the passer for the Giants. The bad news is he will be for the Redskins.

It's time for the NFL to cut back on the teams that make the playoffs. Should be like college. Winning your division is no longer an automatic birth in the playoffs.

You know, Red is so focking lucky - I would not be shocked to see Philly lose to NY and Dallas beat Washington.

Good luck with that.  They want to expand the playoffs.

The best part was when they were 3rd and 1, with that line and Zeke.  So, they throw twice and turn it over on downs.

That would be dumb. Hell, we may have more than one 500 or worse team in this year.

No one is getting in with a sub 500 record.
