This team is devoid of leaders. Dak? Sure, but big whoop - your QB is supposed to be a leader... But who else? 

Say what you will about Michael Irvin, that sumbiatch was bona fide leader. He was the heart and soul of those 90's teams. But he wasn't alone - Mark Tuinei, Charles Haley, Ken Norton Jr, James Washington, Darren Woodson - you talk about some powerful voices on those teams. 

Does anyone even know what Amari's voice sounds like? Zack Martin, Tyron Smith, Tank Lawrence - anyone ever hear their voices? We have a team full of check cashers - not a one of them with any heart or fire like those who were winning titles back then.

I’ve said for a while about the Cowboys culture: Every win is the huge, and every loss is devastating. In a league that has an “any given Sunday” moniker, that sort of bi-polar mindset has to wear everyone out.  Except Jerry, he’s the one that brings it down. And he’s shitfaced, it seems, much of the time. Then again, John Mara is more boring than Posty, and he doesn’t win much either. He’s on his third HC in the last five years.

Seattle, The Rams, The Bears, The Saints, The Bucs, The WFT, The Packers. That the NFC playoff field from last year. All those QB’s are either old or suck. A change is coming, and Dallas is the only NFC team with a good, young QB with playoff experience. And he’s wrapped up for four years.

Heinicke has playoff experience, he hasn't played enough to properly grade him.

I love Prescott, he is the best QB in the division on paper, but the WFT is the team to beat in the East.  It all starts on the defensive side of the ball.

I like Prescott, I think he's solid.  I just don't think he's great like some of the pundits claim.  Washington is only a "solid" QB away from being a legit contender.  They have the defense, they have a good enough OLine (that would be made better by a better QB - and Heinicke might be that guy), and they have some really good weapons (McLaurin, Thomas, and Gibson), and a good coach.  My money is on them to win the division this year.  I think the Giants finish 2nd because they came on really well last year at the end and didn't even have Barkley.  I think they sign either Juju or Golladay and they may win 10 games too.  I think Dallas will be around 8-8, maybe worse pending on how that defense and OLine is.  The Eagles are likely to be a 4-win team.  I don't think Hurts is a starter in the NFL.

i disagree.  the cowboys problem is special teams.  they really struggle to pin the other team deep.   i cant blame the defense when the other team starts their drive on the dallas 40.

You make a great point - the special teams have sucked.

That being said, they have nothing on the defense. That has been the biggest problem here for a long time now.

Yes, and I've never seen so many 3 and longs converted especially at crucial times ( Rodgers & Goff ) to lose a damn game. It's beyond pathetic that nobody can make a freakin' play when you need them the most.

I definitely think they're in the running, but I need to actually see the defense play before I'd agree with them being a lock.  I see them finishing at 9-8.  I think both Washington and the Giants are double-digit win teams.  Seattle and LA also.  I think it'll come down to Min, Dal, SF, AZ, and Chicago for that last spot.

As far as the Cowboys go, things can only improve, I very much like the moves they made Right now pretty much everybody is healthy on both sides of the ball. 

NFC East, this may end up being the strongest NFC Division, everybody made great moves, it's gonna be crazy.

Every team in the NFC East had QB issues last year, either injury or poor play, or both.  Lots of injury though.  It’s no wonder the division had a bad showing.  But Washington and the Giants played better than their record, and Dallas lost one of the most important players in the NFL. I see a great improvement this year.

Everyone is sleeping on the Giants - I don't know why. 

They revamped their O-line last year with what, 3 draft picks? They get a healthy Barkley back and much needed help in the defense with picks this year.

Why would I mention him? He's obviously doesn't scare anyone nor is he the strength of the offense. 

But I don't see anyone mentioning Fitzmagic either. Anyone scared of him? Not me. He's no more a threat than Danny Boy really.
