Mike FF Today 611 Posted November 4, 2018 Per Adam Schefter... Bengals’ WR AJ Green is scheduled to meet with Dr. Robert Anderson this week to diagnose his foot injury, per source. They will try to figure out if surgery is needed but for now, Green - who is still in a walking boot - is expected to miss “some games”. Trying to avoid surgery. This is a big blow to the Bengals offense. Having Green on the field opens up Tyler Boyd in the slot. We'll have to see how the Bengals adjust.
thePRO 78 Posted November 4, 2018 A.J. Green (toe) was scheduled to visit foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson during the bye week. Green went to Green Bay to see what Anderson had to say about his swollen toe. According to Rapoport, "everything" is on the table for Green, including surgery. The star wideout's status for Week 10 can't be taken for granted. If Green misses time, it would open up targets for Tyler Boyd and C.J. Uzomah, among others. Im ready to panic trade this guy before official news comes out!! Julio Jones? Sanders? Hoping the other owners in my league are clueless. Of course they wont be tho. What you all doing? jrokh 571 Posted November 4, 2018 That stinks for AJ, don't have him this year, but I wish him well. Big hit for Dalton owners in Superflex or 2QB leagues. The real question is does this help (more targets) or hurt (tougher coverage) Tyler Boyd?

Ehlana 25 Posted November 4, 2018 I'd say it hurts boyd. Doesn't do any favours for Mixon either.
tanatastic 2,061 Posted November 4, 2018 Makes Boyd a top wr1 if he wasnt already. Just gives him more volume.
huskyhater75 242 Posted November 4, 2018 Why not......................he was having a pretty damned good year for me, hope the best for him.
jimaveli 119 Posted November 4, 2018 He bows out of his best seasons with injuries regularly. He costed me a championship a few years ago with a mysterious hammy ailment that went week to week until the season was over.

Thanks, good luck this week!
eagles115 23 Posted November 4, 2018 Green is just a soft cookie. In fact hes over rated.
polecatt 405 Posted November 4, 2018 He bows out of his best seasons with injuries regularly. He costed me a championship a few years ago with a mysterious hammy ailment that went week to week until the season was over. I remember that very well. I was able to trade him and Dez Bryant for Antonion Brown, haven't looked back since.

bmeadows 4 Posted November 5, 2018 With AJ Green possibly out a few weeks, who is his replacement? John Ross? He's only caught 7 balls all year and a meager 79 yards and 2TD's.
weepaws 2,516 Posted November 5, 2018 Rise the bar for Boyd owners. If he Green playes in less then 13 games this season it would be his third season in doing so in the past five. When he does play a true wr1, but would agree hard to trust him going forward.
bmeadows 4 Posted November 5, 2018 Boyd will definitely get a bump, but who is the other receiver that is going to get more targets if Green misses time?
weepaws 2,516 Posted November 5, 2018 Would guess it’s going to be Ross. But don’t know. Gio if he’s back might even play a little more offten with his rec skills. So Gio might even be more valuable going forward.
tanatastic 2,061 Posted November 5, 2018 I like Uzomah if Green misses time. Ross def gains value though.
Kent 228 Posted November 5, 2018 I said to someone here asking about a trade for him to not do it since he gets hurt a lot. Hope he didnt do it.
Mike FF Today 611 Posted November 5, 2018 Update from Adam Schefter... He will not need foot surgery, but Bengals’ WR AJ Green is expected to miss at least two games before doctors re-evaluate his foot injury to determine when he can play again, per source. ffexpert 4 Posted November 5, 2018 I own Green in a couple leagues, both teams I am tied for 1st. I am struggling with what to do with him. My brain says that this foot injury could be an issue for the remainder of the year, and it may be best to trade him while I can. However, I hate trading down in talent, and because I am a shoe in for the playoffs, I do have the luxury of potentially taking a couple Losses in the short term... I’m also in first place but can’t afford a few losses. I’d love to deal him and don’t think he has even been great anyway.
ffexpert 4 Posted November 5, 2018 I’m also in first place but can’t afford a few losses. I’d love to deal him and don’t think he has even been great anyway. hes been pretty good. Problem is that my teams weakness is at receiver, so hard to trade him straight up for a receiver i like.
jrokh 571 Posted November 5, 2018 Boyd will definitely get a bump, but who is the other receiver that is going to get more targets if Green misses time? read somewhere that someone named Josh Malone would be Green's replacement.
weepaws 2,516 Posted November 6, 2018 Would be hard to trade away a talent like Green who’s been a wr1 this season. Because right now you won’t get back a return near is value when he returns. I would sit if you can and wait it out. But you can also make a few phone calls and do a little fishing, just to see who might be biting. Anyone good luck with this tough decision. CookieG 4 Posted November 7, 2018 I'm in the camp that despite a likely increase in targets this deal with Green's foot is gonna completely mess with my boy Tyler Boyd's effectiveness. :-(
handbanana 47 Posted November 7, 2018 Agreed. Boyd benefits from the coverage sliding to Green who knows if he can be The Man with Green our. Frustrating as I own Green in one league and Boyd in the other. Ugh
weepaws 2,516 Posted November 7, 2018 I’m starting Boyd with all luck. I think he will be just as good as he has been and maybe even better.

stonewall 647 Posted November 8, 2018 Over/under Ross 4 receptions 50 yards? I am thinking about adding Ross. He is fully practicing, and has an opportunity to finally showcase that first round talent (#9 overall last year). They will have to push the ball down the field to hang with the Saints. I'll take the over.
lowman 4 Posted November 8, 2018 Thinking about starting him too. Would love to see one game first. But sounds like he might only be relevant for a couple weeks.
Ron Silversmoke 2 Posted November 8, 2018 Ive been offered LOCKET for AJ. Should I bite ? Im fighting for one of the last playoffs spots. The other owner is looking to stash for playoffs
weepaws 2,516 Posted November 9, 2018 Depends on the rest of your WRs.
American Chewy 98 Posted November 9, 2018 traded AJ for michel today. figured it was the best i was going to do. worried about even if Green does play he's not going to be 100% ROS. I already have one decoy WR in baldwin. michel isn't some pinnacle of health but at least he's trending toward playing and could be a high end RB2 ROS. weepaws 2,516 Posted November 9, 2018 Seems like a lot for Green. What other Rbs does the other owner have?
tanatastic 2,061 Posted November 9, 2018 He will miss 3 games and prob another 1-2 as a decoy. Get whatever you can for him.
