It took longer for this ploy to used that I had anticipated.

First and foremost, the faking of crimes as racists been an issue for some time, but typically its just the spinning of something into that, in this case we have some one exploiting it outright. And his actions represented a real and direct threat to public safety. Luckily there were no riots, no beating of innocent people, but that was only luck.....the stupidity that is prevalent in those who subscribe to this notion of racism being rampant do not normally have restraint,

Further, comparing this instance to others flies in the face of the typical propaganda from the exploiters, but then again, exploitation tends to be vaporous....how about letting "justice" happen?  Y'know that that thing you PRETEND to demand until it comes to find YOU?

Based on what I'm seeing in some of the tweets the records were sealed so fast because it was protecting somebody high up. this is just speculation, but what I'm seeing says it's kamala Harris.  She had some anti-lynching bill come up in the Senate a few days afterwards or something like that.

I am not sure there is a state crime at all. Even filing a report of an incident would have to be proven false. Not worth the effort. There still may be civil crimes.

I get that...but there are two problems here....

First problem....we all know deep down that racial "crimes" are complete and utter bull-focking-sh!t, and most of the time what you have is people trying to squeeze a situation into that prism to be able to say "See!!! See!!!!!!  racism is still a real thing and people are still being lynched and things are just soooooo bad...." which again....utter.....focking .....bullsh!t   now this kind of thing is going to repeat itself unless we scare the crap out of exploiters who like to use these things....

The prosecutor doesn’t believe he’s innocent but dropped the charges anyway because he forfeited his $10K bond and did some community service.  

That being the case, Pussie Smellit  shouldn’t be allowed to go around claiming he was innocent from the beginning

Not really sure what you're saying. The cops should have done a better job investigating? If that's what you're saying, the case is airtight as is evident by a grand jury IN Chicago returning 16 felony counts. If you're saying the prosecutor should have, well she did try to get it out of the cops' hands and into FBI. She said she recused herself but actually didn't.

There's a civil war brewing within Chicago at this point between the cops (who are a target in that city by the public and the people they answer to) and bureaucrats who call them into question left and right.
