There are probably different motivations by different people.  

1. People think kids spread the COVID and still think you can't get COVID if you're vaccinated
2. CEO of Pfizer has the ear of key decision makers and is telling them kids need it

Anyone giving a kid the covid vaccine is pretty dumb.  Especially with the emergence of Omicron.  The vast majority of kids are asymptomatic and it's obvious this vaccine doesn't do much to stop people from catching Omicron.

Again, 67% is the 12th highest among US states + DC.  That is also of the total population which of course is brought down by kids being much less (and some ages who can’t even get it).

I see where you got 39% from - https://coronavirus.dc.gov/data/vaccination

But, it must be missing some data, as it says whites are only 43%.   So as I suspected and no one should be surprised by, you were wrong.

That same site estimates the total 12+ population to be 75% fully vaccinated (it’s a lot easier to get total population data than by race).

So, according to 2017 census data, DC is:

47% Black

11% Hispanic

37% Non-Hispanic White 

4% Asian 

1% other

Algebra lesson time.

Let’s say for arguments sake 100% of whites, Asians and other are fully vaccinated.

Lets solve for x (% of blacks + Hispanics vaccinated)

1(37+4+1)+ x(47+11) = 75

42 + 58x = 75

58x = 33

x = 57%
 

So, it is literally impossible for less than 57% of 12+ year old blacks + Hispanics to be fully vaccinated.

I win again. 

Edit: added the 1% for other to whites/Asians which is being extremely generous since that includes American Indians who have a low vax rate.

The 5 things that get on my nerves the most about all things Covid.

1.  The complete denial by either government or medical entities to recognize natural immunity.

2.  The method and message from government and high ranking government health officials (aka Biden, Fauci, et. al.)  They have told little white lies all this time, in their mind for the greater good, but the people need truth and transparency.  Example, they've known cloth masks, gaters, etc offer virtually zero protection.  Yet they yell about mask mandates.  Stop yelling and tell us they don't work and if you do decide to wear a mask to use a N95 or whatever.  Just tell the truth....the full truth, we aren't children.

3.  The REAL anti-vaxxers.  I'm not talking about most people who don't truly fit that mold as one can be pro-vaccine just anti-mandate.  I'm talking the people who are out there yelling about DEATH JABS!@#!  because some blogger said so on the web.  

4.  Masks on kids in schools.  I should have put this first but I'm too lazy to edit.  Watching my son play a soccer game last year, outside in 90 degree heat with a mask on made my blood boil.  It's INSANE.

5.  Why the FOCK is there not a Senate committee or better yet a GLOBAL NATO hearing / committee that is actively and strongly looking into the root cause synopsis of where, how and why this pandemic started and was derived.  A. So it doesn't happen again and B. JFC, so we know and can hold people / places/ things accountable.

If KSB was King of America for a day this is what I'd do......

1. Get rid of the penny and daylight savings time.  Sorry pandemic, this is my only shot.

2.  Immediately fire Fauci, he is to complicit.  Re-organize a Covid Task Force that does three things.  A. The Communication arm.  Science and truth only.  This vaccine works for only six months, this type of mask is worthless, etc. Give the troof and nuttin' but the troof then let the people decide based on truth.   B. The Treatment arm.  Vaccines, Therapeutics, Vitamins, all things to help either immunize, treat, or fight infection. I'll get all the best and nothing is off limits.   C. The Root Cause arm.  The third arm is to find out what, when and how this happened.  Period. And have the backbone to follow up.

3.  End Federal mask and vaccine mandates.  If a private company or business wants to that's on them but its not coming from me and my government.  

4.  Give Tiger Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom, on Wednesday of Masters Week, at Augusta National.

5.  Pardon Julian Assange and Edward Snowden.

6. Close the Southern Border.  Well not all the way but you know what I mean.

I generally agree with this.   HOWEVER...

Just as an example, a kid with moderate to severe asthma.  If I'm a parent I'm weighing all the options (cost vs benefit) of vaccination.  OR another example....maybe child lives with Grandma who is of uber high risk.  I guess my point is each scenario seems different which is why the masses need the real truth / facts / science!!@#! so they can make those decisions for themselves.

At the end of the day, Covid isn't going anywhere folks.   This isn't like polio, where you vaccinate and it goes away.....if I hear that one more time I a going to punch a Church Lady.  This virus lives in animals for focks sake...in the "vaccinated", its not just going to be eraticated like a focking dinosaur, we need to learn to live with it like we have the the flu.  

We need longer lasting aka more robust vaccines that last longer than focking 4 to 6 months.  We need better therapeutics and we need to better understand why some people (of same weight, height, medical history) react differently to exposure.  

What we need to also do is get back to L I V I N.
