We have vaccines (that help but don’t immunize) we have therapies, the new variants are not as bad as the others. Life should be normal.  If you want to vaccinate do it, if not fine.  Masks on kids in schools is asinine.  Testing for no reason (symptoms) is 99% dumb (always caveats).  But generally speaking WTF are we doing?

I heard this speculation a few months ago on Bret Weinstein's show.  There was no data at the time and I don't know if there is now, but the idea had to do with canalization (making canals).  Basically the vaccine "builds canals" (trains your body) to attack Covid in a way which requires the vaccine, so your body never develops the ability to fight it naturally.

It is part of what is making me hesitant to get the booster, despite my situation.

Jerry your particular situation illustrates the main problem the past year or so has presented.  Who and what to believe or very real decisions.  

I guarantee you the BEST way to dose vaccines was 6 to 8 weeks between the initial first shot and the bootster to maximize efficacy and length of protection.  However the powers that be (WHO, CDC, Gov't) wanted everyone vaccinated NOW, so they shortened all windows to maximize numbers. 

I just disappointed if not anything else.   They have failed us......

CLOTH masks are not appropriate.   A lot of scientists have been saying that for awhile (especially after the Bangladesh study found surgical masks had a statistically significant impact but cloth masks did not).

People have known this from the beginning. There's been no differentiation between ANY types masks required in public, workplaces, or schools and the applicable mandates. It's all theater unless everyone is wearing N95s designed for the WEARER'S protection.

Exaxtly.  Sort of like how they came right out and said the JandJ shot was less effective.  Yet it is accepted as the same as the other 2 double shots.  Then qhen sports players started popping Tim's response was well most of these guys probably got the JandJ.  

Back when this started there was heavy debate on do masks work.  Especially anything other than N95.  Any "science" suggested no.  But they were still all acceptable.  Sort of like it wasn't really about safety at all.

Been said many times, the pores on an N95 are 2x bigger than a covid spore.  And we were told to save them for the medical workers, weren't we. As I have said, the ONLY truth Fauci ever told was at the beginning when he said masks weren't necessary.

Yes but for the first ~6 months or so even surgical masks were hard to come by and N95’s longer than that.  I agree once they were more available we should have emphasized better masks more.

So the solution would be simply to have N95s supplied to everyone?  You ever wear a real, fit tested n95 for more than 1 hour straight?

Probably didn’t need to be N95’s.  Even surgical masks are preferable to cloth ones.  I like KF94 personally.
