The lesson from 2016 was that democrats need to drive blacks to the polls in larger than normal numbers to win.  I think the pick has to be black.  The question is if Harris as veep will do it.

Beyond weak. Realize, though, they have no party. They have 3 very different factions. Socialists, progressives and traditional democrats. At least Joe is in the latter.

It's hard to imagine KamalaHarris as submissive but Willie Brown was able to make it work. Joe Biden, on the other hand, is liable to get locked in the White House pantry and his entire cabinet would breathe easier feeling he were safer down there.

While going with a woman VP is definitely a pandering move he should at least go with Klobuchar since she actually made it pretty far in the primaries and managed to get some followers.  Alas she's not black so Harris it is for the double whammy pandering ticket. 

Edit: I wonder how hard working folks struggling in a post-covid economy will react when Harris starts calling for reparations?

The debates will be downright sad. It's gotten to a point that Biden can't put 2 sentences together. He's only there because of the Ukraine stuff. Still put it at 50/50 his name will be on the ballot.

I love the Democrat party.  They LOVE to tout their "diversity", yet every woman and minority polled very poorly in their primaries... with the exception of Warren, and she eventually faded into oblivion.  The party loves to criticize billionaires, yet the second Bloomberg came on to the scene, he passed every woman and minority.  They are such hypocrites that it borders on sociaiopthic.

 

Even when Obama beat Hillary, it wasn't by much.  He got 48.1% of the popular vote and she got 48.0%.  He only beat her by 300 delagates and she beat him on states won, including CA, NY, FL, and TX.  Let's face it, the only reason why Obama beat Hillary, was because black people voted more that year than any other, and by a significant amount.

Even blacks hated Harris.  I don't see how this helps.  It might make Trumps victory even larger.
