That's fine, I'm not gonna die on this hill.  My main point was there is an issue with drug laws and minorities.  It's one of the major reasons for police to black interactions, if that wasn't there maybe the police to minority relationships wouldn't be as bad.  Maybe the fatherless rate in the black community would't be as big.  We know the history of prohibition and can spin it forward. 

I don't know all the answers, but I think we need to ask all the questions.

Garner and Floyd were not drug related. Most shootings aren’t. That’s Hollywood and TV. Most guys in the drug trade accept getting arrested as a cost of doing business. Shooting at the cop or assaulting him will get them more time than the drugs. Robbers and other violent criminals have a different reaction, they know they are doing time if caught.  The courts treat violence more serious than other crimes. For now.

I wasn't speaking to Garner of Floyd's case,  rather their (well not them specifically, I don't know their specific family dynamic but we're talking stats)  absentee fathers of people like them who, if we are using them as an example, black men who are raised by a single mother or their grandmother.  I'm going for root causes, not pointing fingers.

I remember being on this site and someone thinking that the next day might spell losing a LEO somewhere, when it was already a reality. The media barely covered Dave Underwood's murder. Was he really arrested or just detained and removed?  What happened before the video started?  Were they asked to leave over and over again because they were in an area that was deemed dangerous?

Was the guy arrested? Or was he taken somewhere to be asked to stop inciting the crowd or leave? In case you haven't noticed, this country has been plagued by mass unreasonable violence and it needs to stop. 

So what is the answer to what happened to him and what happened before the video started and what happened when his buddies started moving towards that guy and they put a white sign blocking the dude from the camera?

You can tell some of you nerds have never had interactions with cops.  Just because a cop grabs you and sits your azz on the curb doesn't mean you are arrested.  It means you are impeding their process.   I partied pretty hard in college, if you were wondering.

The screen and buttons of the machine were left scrambled. Part of the red cabinet was blown off, exposing the safe, which appeared to be intact.

This wasn’t isolated. Police say there were several attempts to blow up ATMs throughout the city overnight.

This tactic is not new, but with all that’s going on in the city, it’s another thing that police are trying to keep an eye on.

What a horrible look and what a horrible thing to do to a decent guy calling for harmony and understanding and friendship. While we're looking at all the looters and rioters and footage of the damage they'll have done, this is being retweeted by a who's who of left wing internet personalities. There's a serious rioting problem in the US and people are losing their lives and their businesses. People who didn't sign up for any of this. If the rioters and protesters and murderers don't understand that screaming at and threatening cops in this time of turmoil is the wrong approach to take, well, to me that's on them. And ANTIFA is real. Believe it or not they are both behind the scenes and working first hand in pushing a violent agenda.

So in the end, protest away, but stop provoking the cops and the national guard. It doesn't help in the least.

The cops don’t say anything, they’re just lined up menacingly with drawn rifles. You can’t see their faces, they look like Star Wars stormtroopers. Then you get a couple minutes of an emotional Gee kneeling and pleading for kindness and understanding, hitting all the right notes,  at which point, a couple of them come up, without speaking a word, and haul him away. 
 

Horrible. Pity the Charleston police spokesman that’ll have to talk to the press about this. I don’t think Johnny Cochran on his best day could worm his way out of this box.

I just can't get past the fact that they were asked to disperse multiple times, else there would be arrests, and they chose to ignore multiple times. 

There is both a pandemic, and mass scale coordinated destruction of businesses, properties, and individual people at work. 

I'm all in on when the cops say time to go, it's time to go during this particular crisis.
